Matt and Bridget met in Boulder, Colorado in 2006 through a group of mutual friends most of whom will be present on 9/14/19. After a few years of friendship, they became intimately connected through a shared love of life, food, each other and a dog named Rodney. They have spent the last ten years living together in Colorado, California and their home of Burlington, VT. Every elder male in Matt's life had been imploring him to propose to Bridget for years, on a trip to NYC in 2018 they had an extravagant lunch, bought a ring, drank cheap prosecco on the subway and met CJ and Sarah for Thai food. Engaged, finally. Matt & Bridge could not be more excited to celebrate their wedding day with loved ones, on a ridiculously captivating creamery on Bragg Hill in Waitsfield, VT.
Ploughgate Creamery makes the best butter in the world. Marisa Mauro became close friend with Matt and Bridget through selling her butter to Hotel Vermont and hosting the annual Outstanding In a Field event. Matt and Bridget's infatuation with her craft and the location of the farm made Ploughgate an obvious location for the most important day of their lives. Matt has a deep connection to the Mad River Valley through his years of skiing for the Green Mountain Valley School with his best friend Ian. Bridget loves butter. Together they will gather on this staggering property on Bragg Hill to celebrate one another and the community that has brought them together. Matt will try not to sob.
