Things To Do

Welcome to Amelia Island, Florida We’re so excited to celebrate with our family and friends in beautiful Amelia Island! Known for its charming historic downtown, pristine beaches, and relaxed Southern hospitality, the island is especially lovely in November with mild temperatures and gentle ocean breezes. We hope you enjoy exploring, relaxing, and taking in all the special moments this island has to offer while celebrating with us! https://www.ameliaisland.com/

Twisted Sisters!

402 Centre Street, Fernandina Beach, FL 32034

Run by the wonderful Holwell ladies, Kim and Taylor (Bridges’ mom and sister!), this shop is a must-stop during your time in Fernandina! It’s full of fun souvenirs, super cute clothes, and the sweetest jewelry — perfect for picking up something special to wear (or take home!) from wedding weekend.

Olive Amelia

206 Centre Street, Fernandina Beach, FL 32034

Mr. Buddy Holwell’s pride and joy, this is another can’t-miss stop for wedding weekend! Filled with delicious olive oils, kitchen goodies, and fun local finds, it’s the perfect place to grab great souvenirs — and maybe a few tasty snacks to enjoy during your stay.

Ash Street Cigar Parlor

406 Ash Street, Fernandina Beach, FL 32034

Owned and operated by the matchmakers themselves, Jeff and Sheila (and yes — Jeff is also our wedding DJ!), this is such a fun spot to visit while you’re in town. Stop by to enjoy a nice cigar or sip a glass of wine on their beautiful porch or in the back garden. They often have live music too, making it the perfect place to relax and soak in the Fernandina charm.

T-Rays Burger Station

202 South 8th Street, Fernandina Beach, FL 32034

We LOVE breakfast at T-Rays — a true local favorite and a must-visit while you’re in town! It’s owned by bridesmaid Ashley Lattizori’s parents, which makes it even more special. Be sure to come back for lunch too… their local fried shrimp is a can’t-miss Fernandina classic!

Ciao Italian Eatery

614 Centre Street, Fernandina Beach, FL 32034

This spot holds a special place in our hearts — it’s where we went on our very first date! It has such a lovely atmosphere, perfect for a nicer dinner that still feels relaxed and welcoming. And if you’re looking for a recommendation, the chicken alfredo is our all-time favorite!

Fantastic Fudge

218 Centre Street, Fernandina Beach, FL 32034

You HAVE to stop at the Fudge Shop while on Amelia! A trip to downtown Fernandina is never complete without a sweet treat from the best. This is our go-to spot for ice cream and fudge, and we can’t get enough of their chocolate-dipped Oreos and turtles — pure perfection!

Palace Saloon

117 Centre Street, Fernandina Beach, FL 32034

The Palace Saloon is Amelia Island’s legendary spot — the oldest bar in Florida and famously the last American tavern to close during Prohibition, surviving the dry era as an ice cream parlor! Once a favorite hangout of the Carnegies, Rockefellers, and other socialites, it’s still going strong today. It’s extra special to us because it’s where we met! We’re planning a little late-night after-party here following the reception — the perfect way to keep the celebration going and have a full-circle moment.
