What time should I arrive to the Venue?

Answer

Please arrive at the Granby Ranch base at 2:45 PM to give yourself ample time to enjoy the scenic chair lift ride on the way to the ceremony site.

Do I have to ride a chair lift to get to the ceremony?

Answer

Our venue provides the unique opportunity for our guests to ride a ski lift to the Vista Ridge Ceremony site. We highly recommend all of you take this exciting opportunity but if you are uncomfortable with the idea of riding the lift, the venue provides a shuttle to the top of the mountain. If you would like to take the shuttle, please let us know in advance so we can coordinate your ride. How long is the chair lift ride?

Answer

Approximately 7 minutes. The lift will be moving at a slower pace to make off-loading at the top a little easier.

What will the weather be like?

Answer

Fall weather in the Rocky Mountains can be very unpredictable. Assume that the temperature at the ceremony site will be slightly cooler than at the base where the reception will be held. We recommend keeping a close eye on the forecast and bringing extra layers for the ceremony and the evening, as the temperature will drop quickly when the sun goes down.

What is the dress code?

Answer

We are asking that our guests wear semi-formal to formal attire. This a day that we all get to celebrate and wear outfits we don't get to wear often but we also want you to be comfortable in whatever you choose to wear. And don't forget to bring a light jacket!

What should I wear to the welcome event?

Answer

Casual! We will be wearing jeans so don't feel any pressure to dress up. Save the fancy stuff for Saturday!

IS THERE ONSITE PARKING?

Answer

Yes! There will be ample parking at the base for everyone's vehicles.

Will there be an open bar?

Answer

Yes! We will have an open bar that will include beer, wine and liquor. Our venue has strict rules about bringing outside alcohol to the event, so please refrain because we have you covered. Also as reminder, alcohol will have a greater effect on any out-of-town guests due to the altitude.

Are there hotels nearby?

Answer

There are a couple hotels in Winter Park and Granby but we highly recommend booking a rental home or condo on the Granby Ranch property through Vacasa, VRBO or AirBnB. These properties are conveniently located within a mile of the venue and include every size option you can imagine!

Is the venue indoor or outdoor

Answer

Both! Weather permitting, the Ceremony will be held at the top of a ski mountain at the gorgeous Vista Ridge Ceremony site. The cocktail hour will take place on the base lawn, right at the bottom of the ski lift, where there will be a fire pit and lawn games to enjoy. We will then move inside for dinner and the reception as well as the after-party.

We highly encourage you to RSVP as soon as possible; however, the last day we can accept RSVPs is July 14th, 2024.
