FAQs

Answers for your pressing questions (and some you never knew you had).
Question

What the heck is 'Garden Attire'?

Answer

Think: floral patterns, bright colors, and breathable fabrics. We encourage you to have fun with it and to make it your own! But if it's really not for you, we would most prefer you wear something that makes you feel comfortable. An in-depth article on Garden Attire for Weddings can be found here: https://greenweddingshoes.com/garden-party-attire-dress-code/.

Question

How do I get to the venue?

Answer

We would highly recommend looking into taking an Uber to the venue as parking can be tricky at Golden Gardens if the weather is nice. Once we have a better sense of the official head count, we are likely to provide some sort of transport between Ballard and the venue. We will update this website when we have more details.

Question

Your ceremony is Outside. In Seattle. Is it going to rain?

Answer

If we knew that, we'd retire. Our best guess is that it's unlikely to rain this late in June, but we invite you to check the weather. The reception will be held indoors. You may still want to bring a light jacket even if it's sunny, as Seattle does cool down at night.

Question

What is the food situation for the reception?

Answer

We will have passed apps as well as a full dinner buffet. We are trying our best to be mindful of the different eating requirements and allergies of our guests, but if you have specific concerns related to your own dietary requirements, please reach out to Nick or Bridget directly.

Question

I have one or more mini-humans associated with me, can I bring them?

Answer

While we love your children, due to limited space at the venue, we're requesting that parents take the night off and party away as a date night. But if you're struggling with what to do with yours, please reach out to Nick or Bridget, and we can talk through the options, including if we need to help you find a sitter in the Seattle area.

Question

What is the deal with 'BricolasCage'?

Answer

Pronounced like: Nicolas Cage with a 'Br'. We think it's better than 'Nidget' or just 'Brick'. We hope you agree.

Question

Will Nora and Fyodor be attending the wedding?

Answer

Although we have procured the rights to use the likeness of Nora and Fyodor in wedding collateral, we were unable to negotiate a price for their full cat-lebrity appearance without breaking our budget. Fan mail can be directed to our home address.

Question

I like baseball, will the Mariners be in town?

Answer

No. The mariners will not be in town during our wedding weekend. But Seattle Storm will be.
