Brianne and Brian met the Sunday of Labor Day weekend 2016. They shared many mutual friends but had not officially met yet. Brianne had left “Sunday Funday” at Minnesota’s and went across the street to Lilly’s. Brian walked into the bar to meet the group of friends Brianne was with. Brianne joked with some of her friends and said “I’m going to talk to him tonight” (not realizing he was a friend of theirs). The two were introduced and spent the night talking and dancing at Lilly’s and The Inn in Long Beach. They exchanged numbers and talked throughout the week. The two started to spend almost every weekend together in Long Beach and would occasionally leave to go to Rockville Centre or Merrick. They spent the first two years of their relationship traveling, going to the beach and spending time with friends and family. In 2018 Brian left his apartment in Merrick and Brianne left the West End of Long Beach to move into their own apartment in the "West Holme" section of Long Beach. This is where Brian proposed on Friday September 6th, 2019. It was the end of Brianne’s first week of school and she decided to stay late to get her classroom organized. Little did she know that Brian was anxiously waiting for her at home to ask her a question that would change their lives forever. Brianne walked in the door holding her packed school bag, purse, lunch box and coffee cup. She didn’t even have time to put her belongings down before Brian walked over and asked her to marry him. Brianne eventually dropped her bags, washed her hands (she’s a kindergarten teacher) and said yes!
Currently there are no NYS Covid Restrictions in place for the wedding. You will NOT need to show proof of vaccine or a negative test result to come! While this announcement takes a lot of stress off planning the logistics for the day we want to make sure all of our loved ones stay safe and healthy. New York has come so far in battling Covid-19 this past year and we could not be happier that we will finally be able to celebrate with ALL of our favorite people on August 6th! We will have masks available for those who wish to wear one. We also ask that anyone who is not feeling well or has been exposed to Covid-19 toast us from home. We love you all and your health and safety is our biggest priority.
