Colorado National Monument

Colorado National Monument

Grand Junction, CO 81507

Located right above our wedding venue, Colorado National Monument's Rim Rock Drive is one of the most spectacular drives in the United States. Redrock canyons, crisp blue skies, and verdant green juniper highlight the fantastic views along the road for motorists and bicyclists. Several overlooks give you a place to stop and take in the view. Stargazers can choose their favorite overlook and enjoy beautiful views of the night sky. Several hiking trails are located near the road for anyone wanting to stretch their legs and explore the landscape.

Palisade

Palisade

Palisade, CO 81526

Located 12 miles east from downtown Grand Junction, the town of Palisade is home to over 30 wineries and vineyards and Palisade Brewing Company. You can rent a bike to hope between wineries or explore hikes that overlook the valley. A personal favorite being the Palisade Rim Trail and if your looking for something tougher, try out the Mt. Garfield hike.

Trail Life Brewing

Trail Life Brewing

436 Main Street, Grand Junction, CO 81501

One of our favorite breweries in downtown Grand Junction. The food is amazing too!

Fruita

Fruita

Fruita, CO 81521

Located 12 miles west of Grand Junction, Fruita is best known for its outdoor sports such as mountain biking, hiking and rafting. Their small downtown has two great breweries, Copper Club and Base Camp Provisions, and has amazing pizza at Hot Tomato Pizza and Pablo's Pizza. There is also a Dinosaur Museum for little ones to explore!

Grand Mesa

Grand Mesa

CO 81413

Located about 50 miles outside of Grand Junction, The Grand Mesa is the largest flat-top mountain in the world, bursting with over 300 lakes and encompasses more than 500 square miles. The fall colors in September make the drive worth it if you have time. There is plenty of hiking, fishing and ATV trails to explore. Treyton and I often camp here in the summer months to escape the heat of the valley.

Colorado River

It will still be warm and many local companies rent river equipment. Feel free to get out and enjoy the last rays of summertime on the water! There are no rapids in the town sections of the river so you do not need to be an expert.

Mountain Biking

The Grand Valley is a premier mountain biking location with many trail systems that range from "holy shit" to beginner. Please consult local trail maps before going.

Hiking

Along with our world class mountain biking trails we also have amazing hiking trails suitable for all ages. If you do go on a hike be prepared and bring adequate hiking shoes and water.
