A few fun places to check out while in the area!

Widely regarded as one of the nation's best aquariums, and the one we both grew up visiting, the Monterey Bay Aquarium is a must-visit for out-of-towners!

A Monterey classic, Cannery Row is a walkable strip filled with shops, restaurants and activities (water sports, mini golf, escape room, etc.). Some of our favorite stops: Louie Linguini's, Ghirardelli, Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory

Old Fisherman's Wharf offers great restaurants, unique shops, and a gorgeous view overlooking the Monterey Bay. (Pro tip: don't leave without trying a clam chowder bread bowl!)

A short drive south of Monterey, Carmel-by-the-Sea is a charming beach town known for its beautiful natural scenery, artistic history and storybook architecture. Worth a visit if you have the time!

An hour's drive north of Monterey, the Boardwalk has a fun mix of games & rides right along the beach. And be sure to check out the Santa Cruz Wharf for a delicious seafood meal and Marini's Candies for dessert!
