The year was 2014. The scene was a small coffeeshop filled with the smell of espresso and coney dogs where an energetic and cute barista made the long bar feel like home to all. In walked a college student just starting his semester who instantly was drawn to the barista as he sat down. He couldn’t help but think of a way to strike up conversation with the barista as quick as possible and landed on “I could use a set of extra eyes on this assignment. Can you poofread it for me?” The barista obliged and gave a little smirk when she realized it was an “about me” essay with not a single grammatical error. They ended up getting to know each other very quickly, which only drew him in more. Some cheeky banter sprinkled in throughout the hours of conversation left them both thinking of the other until the next day, but coincidentally neither one could remember the other’s name… The student happened to work next door at the local diner, so the barista went to see if he was working the next day. He was not. He had gotten off shortly before and went to the coffeeshop to try to bump into the barista again, but just missed her. Through the information gathered from their first conversation, the student was able to do digging on social media and did a facepalm when he found her and remembered her name: Brianna. He “slid into her DM’s” as the kids say and she had a similar “AHA” moment when she saw his name: Patrick. From there Brianna and Patrick picked up the banter right where it left off. The connection was undeniable, and led to the two of them spending every single day together for weeks. Those weeks led to years of growing more and more into love. They have both become the biggest fans of each other’s respective passions and partner up in life pursuits. The next chapter of their journey begins September 3rd, 2021 where Brianna and Patrick cannot wait to celebrate commiting to making the journey a life-long, ever-growing one with their closest family and friends!
