We first matched on Hinge, (yes, he swiped first!) We texted for about a month before he suggested a first date at a ramen shop he liked. We met at Itton Ramen in Bloomington, had a great meal, and an even better conversation. At least, it had to be a great conversation since we stayed for 5 hours just talking. The staff even checked in a few times. Neither of us looked back since that date in April of 2023, then made it official June 2nd. After getting over saying our first "I Love Yous" we decided to move in together less than a year later. It didn't take long for Bean, Brianna's sweet cat, to take a liking to Abdi; who took longer to get used to all Bean's demands for attention. Luckily, she didn't deter him as he proposed November 2nd at Escape the Room in Minneapolis. He gathered both friend groups as a surprise, and even got the staff to help hide a secret note in the final stage of the escape room. It read "To escape, you must first answer Abdi's question." Where he then popped the question with an obvious yes to follow!
