We're Getting Married!

The story of Bri & Gabe dates all the way back to 2016, in Frisco, TX. We met while working as Camp Counselors at Plano Sports Authority, attending rival high schools, and our opposite sides quickly attracted. Technically, Gabe was Bri's supervisor... but not for too long! After eight (8) months spent together as best friends, Gabe decided to take the leap and move the relationship to boyfriend-girlfriend on February 13, 2017. (The day before Valentine's day... what a romantic!) We now fast forward to 2018, when we began our first journey together: moving away to Oklahoma, both attending OU. This time together was spent growing up, learning how to adult, paying rent for the first time, and making it through the COVID-19 quarantine. How fun! After a few more years, graduating, and a couple of new job opportunities, Gabe decided it was time to give this relationship another new title: Engaged! On December 2, 2023, Bri got home from work to find an outfit laid out, sparkly heels sitting by the door, and the car running & ready to go. After a Christmas-light-filled drive to downtown OKC, they arrived at the Devon Tower, the tallest building in Oklahoma. It was in this exact building that Bri auditioned for her dream role as a Thunder Girl - and little did she know, it was also about to be the home of her engagement as well! After a delicious meal and some gorgeous views, Gabe got down and popped the question - a surprise to many, but a delight for all. Not long after, we hopped on a plane and took a trip to the Colorado mountains to celebrate the engagement (and get some more photos taken). It's taken a little over a year to begin wedding planning, but this time has not been wasted at all. In the past few years, we have maneuvered through life's ups and downs, supported each other through grief, celebrated each other's newfound successes, and focused on the most important piece: Our relationship with the Lord. Needless to say, we've been figuring out the whole 'adult' thing together - and I think our friends and family would collectively release a huge sigh of relief as we move forward in this exciting part of our story. Now, we are so excited to spend the culmination of over eight (8) years of hard work, laughs, tears, and a whole lot of love together with all of YOU! You may be wondering... why did we put those 8's in parenthesis? There are two 8's that are significant to our story: - It took 8 months for us to enter the BF/GF stage. - We have just completed our 8th year of being together. And now, we get to hold those 8's forever as we celebrate our marriage on 8/8. Double-infinity. Forever & ever, a love that lasts. We truly appreciate all of your love, guidance and support over the last 8 years and are so grateful to give you all a weekend of California time, fun, food, dancing, and drinks - which hopefully none of us will ever forget! We know destination weddings can be hard, but we are so hopeful to celebrate with you. We haven't been able to take a vacation with our families in quite some time... and what better reason to plan one than to celebrate? Join us on our next adventure, where we will officially become one!
