FAQs

The Wedding Website of Erika Wiese and Brian Fairbanks
Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

October 15, 2025

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

The dress code for the ceremony is cocktail attire. But if you’d like to dress more formally, go right ahead! The welcome party is casual.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

The wedding ceremony and reception are adults-only. Children may attend the welcome party.

Question

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

Please refer to the “Hotel Blocks” page of this website. You may also want to consider a bed and breakfast, as the wedding venue is in a residential area and there are no major hotels in short walking distance to the wedding venue.

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony and reception?

Answer

There is no parking lot, but there is street parking. The venue is in a residential area. You may need to park a block or two away as the nearest spots become filled. Alternatively, you may want to consider rideshare services (Uber, Lyft) to and from the venue.

Question

Should I rent a car in New Orleans?

Answer

This depends on several factors, but is ultimately up to your own preference. If Brian and Erika were guests at this wedding, they would not rent a car, and instead rely on ridesharing apps/taxis. Things to consider: 1. Where you are staying. If you are staying in a hotel downtown such as our blocks, the parking options are either the hotel garage (paid), a public garage or lot (paid), or on the street (often paid between 7am-7pm). 2. Your plans outside of wedding activities. Unless you are expecting to leave the New Orleans metro area, you can get anywhere via rideshare, and to most popular tourist sites via streetcar or bus. More info on New Orleans public transit is linked in the “Hotel Blocks” page of this website.

Question

Is there a shuttle service to/from the airport?

Answer

No, but if you are interested in carpooling with other guests, you can send your flight information to Brian and he will let you know if anyone else is arriving/departing at the same time. Brian’s e-mail address: brianfairbanks@gmail.com
