When should we arrive?
Answer
We are looking forward to a weekend full of festivities! The first organized event starts on Friday afternoon, but feel free to arrive Wednesday or Thursday evening if that suits your schedule. The wedding group rates are available starting Thursday. For those arriving on Thursday, join us for a poolside gathering Thursday afternoon and for casual drinks Thursday night.

Where do I fly into?
Answer
For those who are flying in, the Reno-Tahoe International Airport (RNO) is the closest option, about a 1 hour drive from Nakoma Resort. Sacramento International Airport (SMF) is another option, about a 3-hour drive to Nakoma Resort.

Is there transportation to the venue?
Answer
We encourage guests to rent a car or carpool—the area is remote and rideshares are limited.

Where should we stay?

We recommend staying on-property at Nakoma Resort. It's the easiest option and keeps everyone together. Additional lodging options are listed on our Travel page. Feel free to reach out with any questions!

What's the dress code for the wedding?
Answer
Black Tie Optional For gentlemen: If you already own a tuxedo and would like to wear it, please do. If not, a dark suit and tie is perfectly appropriate. Please don't feel any need to purchase or rent a tuxedo for this occasion. For women: We encourage long dresses or formal eveningwear to complement the Black Tie Optional setting. For those seeking a bit of inspiration, we welcome formal attire in warm, romantic, organic tones inspired by nature and art. Earthy neutrals, blushes, and rich muted hues are beautifully suited to the occasion.

Can I have a late checkout?
Answer
While Nakoma Resort does require checkout at 11:00 am, you are more than welcome to store your bags and enjoy Altitude's, pool, gym, sauna, and showers.
