Like many modern love stories, ours began on Hinge—and soon became “the one.” Rewind to March 2023, a Friday night in Manhattan. After separate dinners with friends and each of us debating whether to call it a night, we decided to meet up. Our first drink was at Do Not Disturb in the West Village, where, by pure coincidence, cousin Annie and her now-husband, Zander, happened to be as well—making our first date a full family affair. After a couple martinis, we spent a New York night barhopping to La Esquina and Mother’s Ruin and stayed transfixed on each other until nearly 3 a.m. Before parting ways, we made a half-serious plan to have brunch the next day. Sure enough, Andy showed up in Jersey City with his passport, just in case the trip across the Hudson required international documentation. That brunch unfolded into hours of easy conversation and connection. We were on our way, although the path, apparently, was not entirely clear. On July 4th weekend, Brianna, the straightshooter that she is, asked, “What is this? What are we doing?” Without hesitation, Andy replied, “I thought we were already dating!” And well, the rest is history.
