Maid of Honor
Rachel and Bri met in Honors Bio when Rachel was a freshman and Bri was a Sophomore in 2007. They were assigned as lab partners because "McAuliffe" and "McGlone" are so close alphabetically. They became instant friends, and commiserated over how much bio sucked. They shared many an inside joke (fat mouse!) that kept them laughing in class. They were involved in the school musicals and hung out at each other's houses all the time. Rachel is basically family. They remained best friends throughout college and after. Rachel and Bri share a love of cats, Gilmore Girls, comfy sweaters, and wine. Bri was Rachel's maid of honor in her wedding, and now Rachel gets to return the favor! Watching 27 dresses a million times has definitely prepared them (no butt bows)!
Bridesmaid
Allie and Bri met when they both worked as lifeguards at High Point Country Club. They worked together almost every day each summer for several years. It was a wild place to work, but they made it fun and always prayed for rain so they could play cards. They ordered pizza or chicken fingers and cheese fries while working because dealing with the crazies made them hungry. Sometimes ice cream from Riverside Creamery was a requirement after a particularly frustrating work day (or just because they really like food). Not much has changed really, they just traded in their whistles for Google Classroom. They both love Disney, crafting, and hiking together. They run Gourdy's Pumpkin Run together every fall, too!
Bridesmaid
Alyssa is Bri's cousin! Holidays and times when they get together are some of the best times - always full of laughs, craziness, and fun! Since they both became old enough to drink, family gatherings are even better! Bri lived with Alyssa and Jenna while she was student teaching, and it was the best. Alyssa (and Jenna) introduced Bri to Nutella, and days were filled with kitchen dance parties, exploring in the rain, Starbucks trips, and even a potato party. A particularly high point in life, they decided to make every kind of potato they could and enjoy it all by themselves. It was delicious, and much better than the day they screwed up a meatloaf (it was REALLY bad). Since they were kids, every time they say goodbye they give each other a big bear hug - it's kind of their thing!
Bridesmaid
Jenna is Bri's cousin! Bri was 11 when Jenna was born and loved playing with Alyssa and Jenna whenever they got together. It's always a fun time! When Bri lived with Alyssa and Jenna for a semester in college, Bri often would get Jenna up for school (an impossible task - that girl does not wake up for anything). After school, Bri and Jenna had a habit of taking silly videos (usually singing Frozen songs - Bri was always Hans and Jenna was always Anna), eating Oreos (and Nutella), or swimming in the pool. Often Jenna and Bri had kitchen mishaps that left them rolling on the floor with laughter (the milk explosion, the deflated cake, and the overflowing milkshake). Jenna even made Bri watch Harry Potter for the first time and sparked Bri's obsession with the series (thanks, Jen)!
Bridesmaid
Angela and Bri met when Angela worked in Bri's class as a paraprofessional. They got along right away, which was important because they had to deal with some crazy sh*t together! They were pros at communicating with just a look, which happened a lot. Kids say and do the wildest things! Often they had to avoid looking at each other to not burst out laughing at something hilarious one of the kids said. Angela always tells the best stories, especially in a Snapchat with a voice-changing filter. Angela and Bri can often be found taking strength training at the Y or planning for Halloween a year in advance. Usually though, they are hanging out with drinks at Pennings, and are usually the last ones to leave a party (or they're the only ones who show up)!
Bridesmaid
Christy and Bri are both teachers in Franklin. They both read A LOT (although Bri could never keep up with Christy's reading speed), and they share book recommendations all the time. They frequently send each other cat videos on Instagram (like, every day), and love Tony Baker videos (skibbity paps). Both of them love Star Wars and Harry Potter. Nerds. Christy, Bri and Alison have a group chat that has kept all of them sane (at least a little), especially when dealing with things at work and teaching during a pandemic. You can often find them at trivia night at the cottage. They both love Schitt's Creek, Friends, and especially Gilmore Girls, and always seem to be watching it over again - except anything after season 5. Those seasons don't exist.
Bridesmaid
Courtney and Bri met teaching at Franklin. They were classroom neighbors across the hall from each other, at least for a few years until Courtney had to move rooms. Bri still stopped in to say hi in the mornings sometimes. They talked so long Bri would have to rush to her classroom to get herself set for the day before having to pick up the kids! They always vented to each other about things that were frustrating at work, and shared the crazy teacher stories that you can only understand if you teach. Work parties and happy hours with Courtney were always so much fun, as were all of the Halloween parties and St. Patrick's Days in Morristown (including the time Matt snuck a green bagel into Grasshopper in his pocket and later dropped a grilled cheese behind her couch)!
Best Man
Younger brother, and Matt's first ever lifelong friend. These two have been a part of each other's lives since the day Matt asked their parents when they were taking Chris back to the hospital (needless to say things have been all uphill since then). From their younger days of epic nerf battles, heated ping pong matches, lightsaber fights, and endless hours of backyard wiffle ball, to their older days of FIFA 14', 2K, slamming back seltzers, and an endless exchange of nonsense TikToks, these brothers always know how to laugh, drink, and enjoy their time together. All the way from day one to the end of the aisle, Matt couldn't have chosen a more perfect Best Man.
Groomsman
President to Matt's Vice President, CJ and Matt have been friends ever since they met as teammates, and eventual leaders, of the UNH (New Haven.. not New Hampshire) Ultimate Frisbee Club. Through their love of the game and their more profound love of beer, they became fast friends before moving off campus with Pat in Junior year. Whether it was sinking endless 'Death Cups' at First Ave and 233, or late night cigar and frisbee toss sessions in the quad, you could always find these two wherever the fun was. With college long gone, they still remain close, keeping in touch though numerous group chats and their yearly (well almost yearly) trip to Wildwood for a weekend of Ultimate and beer.
Groomsman
Another UNH Ultimate Teammate, Pat and Matt bonded early on in college over their rhyming names and their shared ability to cause shenanigans wherever they were. After two years of chaos and great times with UNH Ultimate, Pat and Matt became roommates with CJ off campus. Another two shenanigan-filled years at First Ave and 233 made them even closer as they bonded through drinking, frisbee, loud noises, and throwing pizza at walls. Nowadays, they still keep in touch through the college group chats and are always happy to get the chance to see each other whenever the UNH crew gets together. Once captains together at UNH, they now stand together on Matt and Bri's big day.
Groomsman
Last, but certainly not least, from the UNH Ultimate Family is James. While he may be a year younger than his counterparts, he makes up for it in his charming friendliness, deadpan sense of humor, and his uncanny ability to shotgun cheap beer. In Matt's senior year, James joined the crew at 233 and their friendship was quickly set in stone. Whether it was 'Big Three' craziness like RBV Day, EGGS, or screaming at Jerry Springer while drinking at 2 pm on a Tuesday, Matt and James always brought the good time with them. With college a blurry memory, they keep in touch frequently by sharing their constant disdain for the Jets front office over text. Even though this friendship caused James to never look at white bread the same again, we know he is thankful for the invite.
Groomsman
They say that absence makes the heart grow fonder, but did you know that shared hatred of a boss makes two coworkers grow into great friends? That is the case for Matt and Wes, bonding early on in their careers at Benjamin Moore. After moving to a new lab together, their friendship grew even stronger as they played company sports, attended numerous happy hours, and eventually became two very subpar bowling partners. Matt stood alongside Wes in his 2021 wedding to Kelly, and we know that Wes is more than happy to return the favor and stand by Matt's side as Bri walks down the aisle.
