Question

Where will the ceremony and reception take place?

Answer

Both the ceremony and reception will take place at Rock Island Lake Club in Sparta, NJ. The ceremony will be outdoors (unless it rains, in which case we will move inside), and the reception will be indoors. During the reception, guests will have access to the outdoor deck, patio, and bonfire area.

What time do I need to arrive for the ceremony?

Answer

The ceremony starts promptly at 5:30, so please arrive at least 15-30 minutes prior to the start. There will be champagne for all guests to enjoy before to the ceremony!

Can I bring my kids?

Answer

While we love your children, our wedding is an adults-only event with the exception of the wedding party. We want everyone to relax and enjoy the evening, and we thank you for respecting this request.

What should I wear? Is there a dress code?

Answer

The dress code is semi-formal/cocktail attire. Cocktail dresses or pantsuits for women, and a suit and tie or sport coat for men.

Will transportation be provided to and from the venue?

Answer

Yes! Transportation will be included for guests staying at the hotels. The bus will pick up at 4:30 sharp from the Marriott and immediately after at the Holiday Inn. The bus will pick up guests at 11 pm for the return trip.

Where should guests park? Is parking free?

Answer

Valet parking is available at the venue. Parking is free.

Question

What happens after the ceremony?

Answer

Immediately following the reception, the wedding party will take pictures together while the rest of the guests will go right to cocktail hour on the lower level of the venue.

Will there be an open bar?

Answer

Obviously.

Will there be a photo booth?

Answer

Yes!! Please enjoy it and take a lot of photos! We have a book and double sided tape for you to add a copy of each photo strip, so please add your photos to it. We can’t wait to see all of them!

Will breakfast be provided for hotel guests?

Answer

Yes! Breakfast is available at both hotels and is included with your stay. At the Marriott, you will receive breakfast vouchers to use at The Bistro off the lobby between 7-10 am. A continental breakfast is included at the Holiday Inn.

Will there be an after party?

Answer

Yes! The bar at the Marriott will be open until 2 am for anyone staying at either hotel to enjoy. It will be a cash bar, and last call will be around 1:30 am.
