Maxine & Everald Gordon

Parents of the Bride

Bri is our pride and joy and has always made us proud with her loving and caring personality and God given brilliance and talents. I love that Bri has stayed grounded and steadfast with the Lord given all the challenges life’s nuances have brought along the way. Bri is my (Maxine’s) only child, but Brad has made a presence in our lives and is such a blessing as a son. He has demonstrated that he will make a great husband for our daughter as he is seeking God first and being the spiritual leader, showing self control, discipline and humility. Know that your marriage is made in heaven, lived on earth and carries with it generations to come. "As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another." Proverbs 27:17

Kathleen & Errol Grant

Parents of the Groom

We are truly blessed to be Bradford's parents.  A goofy, talkative, and fun-loving child, he has grown to be a steadfast scholar, and a caring son, who is using his many talents to honor God. We are thrilled to welcome Bri as our daughter-in-love, who is equally caring and humble about her many gifts, some of which we are just learning about.  We are excited about what God has planned for them as they continue to grow in their Christ-centered life as husband and wife.  Love and blessings to Braddy and Bri.

Natasha Goodall

Maid of Honor

I am Bri’s first cousin! We have so many memories together, but my favorite memory would have to be all the times Bri helped me get ready. I remember for my high school graduation Bri flew in town and even though she was extremely tired, she woke up the next day really early to do my hair and makeup. That was my first wig install. She’s like a sister to me! Bradford is definitely like family to me, always cracking jokes that he thinks is funny and Bri loves to join him. Im honestly so glad Bri found her person, because they go together real BAD.

Victor Alan Weeks

Best Man

Bradford and I met through the Quad app where Bradford shared his music to the incoming first year students and I responded with feedback. That fall at Davidson College we formed a rap group (Trilla G ENT), a brotherhood, and a lifelong bond. A fun memory I have with Bradford is recording our first mixtape “DCEP” overnight and walking out of our college’s academic building’s basement to blue skies and birds chirping.

Kaitlin Barkley

Maid of Honor

My name is Kaitlin and I’m one of Bri’s Maids of Honor. I met Bri and Bradford both in college (Go Wildcats!). When I wasn’t driving her around, like the passenger princess she is, we were probably running our mouths about literally everything under the sun. I'm so excited to see my two favs tie the knot because watching their relationship bloom has truly been an inspiration.

Oscar Lacayo

Flower Bro

One of my favorite memories of Bri and Bradford was seeing them first becoming a couple. We were walking to a BSC party at school and I remembered how happy I was to see my sister enjoying herself with my brother, Bradford. It’s been a pleasure to see you guys walk down the hill together at Davidson to now down the aisle as husband and wife. God bless you guys and I hope you have a long and healthy marriage.

Bridesmaid

Bri is my cousin, our parents are 1st cousins. We grew up together, attended the same church etc. I met Brad at Bri’s graduation and I loved him instantly. My favorite memory with Bri and Brad is Boxing Day -22. We played games & talked all night, had some good food, it was a vibe. that was the night that I was able to see how perfect Bri & Brad are for each other, they are best friends, partners, soulmates, etc. As my memory recalls it they got whooped that night, but they lost gracefully lol.

Groomsman

My favorite memory with Bradford was on Boxing Day, and man was it was a night to remember. We talked, we laughed ,ate good food, played games and hung out all night. We had only met once before and didn’t know each other that well but by the end of the night we were taking pictures together and giving each other nick names. I’ll never forget that night because I gained a brother for life. I’m proud of you B-Rad and honored to be apart of your journey. You and Bri are the epitome of black excellence and I can’t wait to see what else God has in store for you both.

Bridesmaid

I first met Bri in high school, and we've been friends ever since. Our friendship started with a shared detention during the first week of school in Mr. Marti's class & no we weren’t trouble makers. I met Bradford shortly after him & Bri met in college & she would speak about him. Congratulations to the Grants!

Groomsman

Brad began telling me about a young lady he met. I was quite surprised because he rarely spoke about his emotional endeavors, so I knew she must’ve been someone special. Fast forward some time and we finally got the chance to meet each other’s special lady. This was a joyous occasion for me because I could see the happiness these two brought each other. And by the end of the night, I think our ladies enjoyed themselves more than we did!

Kiara Finlay

Bridesmaid

Bri and I have been friends since we were four and a half, back to the sandbox days. From flower cakes and jumping the gate to catch the ice cream truck, to neon KDs, and hightailing it to senior brunch, the stories and memories are far too many to count. I’m so happy that she’s found her person in Bradford! Cheers to more rounds of mini golf and more life to them both always.

Bri and I went to high school together. We first met on the school bus during freshman year, sitting next to each other every morning, but we never actually spoke. One day, we realized we had P.E. class together. Bri made a funny joke, and I kept it going. We laughed about it and realized we had similar senses of humor. Ever since then, we've been best friends.

Chinara Embden

Bridesmaid

Since freshman spring, Bri and I have become very close friends. We've really seen each other go through so many changes as we've become the women we are today and I know she's grateful God brought me into her life, lol - but no, I'm truly the one that is grateful to have her as a friend and to celebrate this big moment for her and Bradford! We've shared so many moments together, it's hard to pick one as my favorite. I would say the first day we became friends in the library is probably the most significant, it's what started it all - we've been at each other's side since then!

Groomsman

The day I met Bradford, he became my brother. We connected at a 2819 Church squad meetup - my first, yet it felt like home. From squads to serving as church leaders together, Bradford has proven to be a diligent man who loves Bri deeply and, above all, the Lord. I'm grateful to call Bradford not just a friend, but a true brother in faith. His unwavering faith and dedication to his craft (medicine) & family inspire us all. Not just that but his integrity and compassion exemplify what it means to live devoted to God. I'm thankful for the bond we share, rooted in our faith and strengthened through our experiences together.

Alexia Bufkin

Bridesmaid

My favorite memories with Bri are our impromptu after class excursions during college. We were always on the go doing something and we began to grow closer into such good friends! Also going out to chili’s :)

Groomsman

My favorite memories with Bri has to be me bullying her as kids. Bradford is my brother and i'm so grateful to have him officially join the fam.

Mikayla Smalls

Bridesmaid

I became really good friends with Bri during her 1st year at Davidson. Bradford and I went to the same high school. I have so many memories with them. I cherish our random conversations and dialogues about God the most.

EJ Derricho

Groomsman

I met Bradford in between middle school and high school during a summer health and PE class. We bonded through our love for music and roasting our coach. My favorite memory with him is recording our mixtape “Too Soon Too Late”. The fact that we were able to complete anything like that was amazing and it took both of us working together.
