South of France

The Wedding Website of Yen Liew and Brian Yeh
The South of France is a large region made up of Provence and the French Riviera. Our wedding will be held in the picturesque landscapes of Provence. There is a lot to see, eat and do in the South of France, here we have provided a quick description and guide to the different towns. Over the wedding weekend, we suggest exploring the towns closest to the wedding venue so that you don't overexert yourselves. If you are able to stay longer, we have also included some recommendations for the French Riviera. Enjoy!

Avignon

A historic town

The closest of the larger towns, Avignon is also known as 'La Cité des Papes' The City-State of Popes. It is a historic town, home to UNESCO World Heritage Sites of the Cathedral Palais des Papes and Pont d'Avignon.

Gordes

Rolling Hills

On the hilltops of the Luberon Valley, Gordes is an iconic village famed for it breathtaking views and stoned buildings nestled between cypress and olive trees. Drive up and enjoy a delicious lunch after walking along its cobbled streets.

Saint-Remy-de-Provence

A Commune

Much of the landscape is characterised by its mountain range. The main town is called Alpilles where you can find a myriad of beautiful hotels nestled among the lush landscapes.

Lourmarin

Our favourite

Our favourite town in Provence, Lourmarin is a beautiful and quaint village. The perfect place for a cup of coffee after exploring its narrow streets, antique stores and ivy covered homes.

Aix-en-Provence

Art & Shopping

Lush with flowers and beautiful architecture the town inspired the artworks of Cezanne who lived just off the town center. If you want to do some shopping, this is the place to go!

Saint Tropez

Yachts, Shopping and Beach Clubs

Enjoy a yacht day out at sea or party at one of the many beach clubs, St Tropez is the place for all things luxury with its branded stores, stunning hotels and fine dining restaurants.

Vence

Hillside Romance

Whilst you're here, make sure you visit St Paul de Vence to see the artisanal stores along the narrow shopping street

Eze

Where we got engaged!

A tiny town perched at the top of the hill overlooking the Mediterranean sea. It gets very busy with tourist during the day but for good reason. Prepare yourselves for the hike up!

Monaco

Casino Royale

Famous for its casinos and all things luxury. The city can get extremely busy with lots of tourist, we would suggest to skip it all together unless you want to visit its iconic casino.

Nice

The Centre of the French Riviera

If you're landing in Nice and/or intending to explore the French Riviera, Nice is a great central location to stay.
