COME CELEBRATE WITH US

Brian and Vanessa met in 2013, at an open house for a room in an apartment, which neither were able to obtain. They were looking for housing in the SF East Bay, which is a competition like no other! They teamed up and Brian found a much better place for them to live. They quickly became friends and were quite compatible as roommates, which is difficult to find! They balanced each other out well and were destined to be together...for a year. Brian left Vanessa after a year to pursue his PhD in plant biology at MSU. He was moving over halfway across the country and all seemed lost! However, he wasn't gone for long before they decided to make long distance work. What followed was four years of traveling to see each other, a lot of video chatting, and Minecraft! Vanessa knew that getting back to the Midwest was best for her relationship with Brian and both their families, as they all happened to be from the area. So, to kick off 2019 Vanessa and Brian were able to start the new year together, full time! It turned out that they still liked being around each other every day, and they decided to do a super low-key wedding on 8/29/2019. They wanted to celebrate and bring together their families and friends, but they wanted to be prudent and wait for Brian to find employment. Now that he is a postdoc at MSU, they're ready to party! Come celebrate with them for a night of food, dancing, board games, and more on May 15th, 2021.
