We highly recommend flying into the Liberia International Airport (LIR) airport, which is the closest airport to Nosara. Nosara is a 2 to 2.5 hr drive from Liberia Airport, 30 minutes of which is on bumpy dirt roads. Our wedding planner will be handling the coordination of airport shuttles. The cost is $180 for 1-5 guest per van and $10 per extra person up to 9 guests per van. San Jose International Airport (SJO)
San Jose is the capital of Costa Rica and is very far from Nosara, a 6-hour drive to Nosara. We do not recommend flying into San Jose, given its distance from Nosara. We would only suggest looking into the San Jose airport if you are looking to plan a longer vacation and travel around all of Costa Rica. Please note, if you are flying to San Jose, make sure you book a flight to San Jose, Costa Rica and not San Jose California !! This has happened before! :)

Nosara Airport
Nosara has a small landing strip in downtown Nosara for 10-seater propeller planes. You will need to be mindful of flight times as it has limited daily options from Liberia and San Jose airport and they do not fly past dark.
Rental Car
Alternative Transportation
There are no Uber or other on-demand car services. A rental car is your alternative option instead of an organized shuttle. Once in Nosara, many of the roads are dirt roads and an SUV is recommended to drive. If you decide to rent a car, please be aware that many times the rental companies add extra fees when you pick up a car in person, compared to the price on the website. Nosara Beach Hotel
Brian and Olivia will be staying at the Nosara Beach Hotel, which will also be the venue for both the ceremony and the after party. We’ve reserved the entire hotel for our immediate family and wedding party (there is only 20 rooms). While everything is within a 5–10 minute walk from eachother, please note that these are boutique accommodations, so not everyone will be able to stay at the same location. An initial room pre-assignment has been made, and guests staying at the hotel will be contacted directly with booking instructions. This block requires a 3-night minimum (February 26th, 27th, and 28th). If you wish to add on nights, you can book directly through the hotel. Regardless of where you're staying, all wedding guests are welcome to enjoy the pool, restaurant, and beach areas at Nosara Beach Hotel throughout the weekend.

The Nomadic Hotel is centrally located in Playa Guiones and just a 5-minute walk to the surf point and beach. It has a nice range of room categories, an open-air pavilion for yoga, a saltwater pool, and steps to cafes and restaurants.

ACCOMMODATIONS
In Nosara, you've got a great variety of places to stay, but don't expect any traditional chain hotels! Nosara is all about boutique hotels, cozy Airbnbs, and lux villas. Please book your lodging at The Nosara Beach Hotel or in Guiones Main or Guiones North. This will ensure our coordinated shuttles are able to pick you up/drop you off on the wedding day. Our wedding planner has direct access to preferred rentals, you can email her team at info@weddingsnosara.com with your dates of stay and number of guests to assist in securing a rental.
Travel Note
INTERNATIONAL TRAVEL INFO
Please make sure you have a valid passport! Your passport must be valid for at least six months beyond your travel dates. If you need to renew it, please schedule your appointment as soon as possible to avoid delays. Information about traveling internationally to Costa Rica: 1. Costa Rica customs will ask you for the address of your lodging location. 2. You might need to show your departure flight at customs so have it handy.
