Travel Note
Whether you are flying from Saipan, the US, or internationally, a passport is required for you to travel to the Philippines. We highly recommend that if you do not have a passport, apply for one at least 8 months before to guarantee processing and arrival. If you already have a passport, please ensure it is valid for 6 months before you depart for international travel (this is to adhere to the 6-month passport rule)
Travel Note
This will totally depend on you! If you are only planning to attending the wedding, we’d recommend at least 3 days so that you have a recovery period in between travels. Philippines is a huge vacay spot and since you’re already here, might as well enjoy it! It would make us even happier if our celebration also served as a well-deserved vacation!
Travel Note
There are several transportation methods to choose from, but we do NOT recommend using taxis. Taxis are the most expensive mode of transportation in the PI & they will most likely take advantage of the fact that you are a tourist. GRAB Grab is the Philippines’ version of Uber - 10/10 recommend using this app. Just like any location, you will need a SIM to use this app so highly recommend purchasing one (there should be vendors that sell SIMs in the airport). BUS Taking a bus from Manila to Tagaytay is probably the cheapest and most convenient mode of travel. You can ask around and they should be able to point you in the direction of taking the right one. You may need pesos to purchase a bus ticket so please exchange USD to PHP. Please be mindful that travel from Manila to Tagaytay takes about 2-3 hours give or take, depending on how traffic is looking. To make it on time for the wedding ceremony, we recommend staying in the Tagaytay area the evening prior to the wedding day to prevent the hassle of travel.
Travel Note
Hotel/lodging accommodations are abundant in both Manila and the Tagaytay area in which we will be having our wedding. We have included a few options that have good reviews + are closer to the wedding venue, but feel free to select your own. Please be mindful of the places you do plan to book - ensure that there are good reviews, that it’s in a convenient area, and that the customer service is helpful. We will add more options as we go along so that there are more to select from!
