Let me preface this story by saying that I knew very shortly after meeting Lacey that I wanted to spend the rest of my life with her and Asher! Several weeks before a planned trip to Corolla, NC (holla in Corolla!) I picked out the ring I knew she couldn’t say no to! I was pretty proud of how well I did and also jealous that I didn’t get one. I might have wore it on my pinky a few times just to feel pretty! For weeks prior to our trip I left the ring in its bag in random obvious places in my apartment and truck. It was on top of the fridge, on the entertainment center, on my nightstand, and on the dash of my truck. I was living on the edge! She never saw it. When we got to Corolla I started sending her pictures of the bag in all of the random spots. I almost got in trouble because she thought I was telling her I would rather be home! I had to smooth talk my way out of it. The weather was not our friend the first couple of days. Finally on day 3 of our trip we were on the beach! If you know anything about Lacey, you probably know she loves the water! She’s all about those beach vibes! A little while after we were all settled in Lacey took Asher down to the water. I used this time to quickly bury the ring in the sand! I patted the sand back smooth and marked an X on top! When they got back I told Asher it looked like something was buried in the sand under the X and asked him to help me dig! We didnt have to dig long before he found the bag. What could it be!? Well lets open it and see! I pulled the ring box out of the bag, opened it, and asked her to be mine forever! The rest is history!
