Question

When are RSVP's due?

Answer

Please RSVP by September 27th!

Question

I'm having a technical issue with my RSVP

Answer

No worries, you may text either Katie (541-280-4951) or Brian (541-550-8306) before September 27th. If your issue is after this date, please contact either Megan, Maid of Honor (541-280-4608), or David, Best Man (541-550-8419)

Question

Why is your ceremony in the middle of the woods?

Answer

Brian and I have both lived in Bend for most of our lives, and we love it here! We also love the outdoors, and wanted to do our ceremony in one of the many, many gorgeous natural locations in the area. It's not only pretty, but also super-duper free. We frequently ski at Virginia Meissner during the winter months. We love the area, and love the idea of being able to return to the spot we got married at whenever we want!

Question

Will we be outside, and what can I expect weather wise?

Answer

October is usually quite nice in Bend, so we're expecting (fingers crossed!) sunshine and mid 60s. Both the ceremony and reception sites are outdoors, but if the weather gets nasty, our tent for the reception provides plenty of cover. Everything should be plenty warm, but we do recommend bringing a light coat for both the ceremony and reception, as well as appropriate footwear for uneven terrain (heels discouraged).

Question

Where should I park?

Answer

For the ceremony, parking will be at the main lot at Virginia Meissner Sno-Park. For the reception, we recommend parking along the lawn at Stover Park, just down the street from the reception site. Parking at Hoover House will be reserved for folks with mobility issues and the main bridal party.

Question

Do I really need a parking pass for the ceremony, and where can I get one?

Answer

We're not sure whether Virginia Meissner is checked for parking passes at this time of year, so better safe than sorry to avoid a ticket in case a forest ranger comes through! If you don't already have the orange, $30 annual NW Forest Pass, or the National Parks Pass, you can get a blue day pass for $5 at the following locations on your way up: - The Powder House - Pine Mountain Sports - There's a kiosk at the trailhead on the opposite side of the highway from the Ranger Station on your way up. However, since it's in an odd spot, we recommend trying the above locations first.

Question

Are kids allowed?

Answer

This will be an adults-only event.

Question

Can I bring someone other than my plus one?

Answer

We're sure they're lovely! However, Brian and I would prefer to keep our wedding as small and intimate as we can, so please, no outside guests.

Question

What's for dinner?

Answer

The reception is being catered by Barrio- providing tacos with a variety of fillings, including vegan and vegetarian options.

Question

Will there be alcohol?

Answer

Wouldn't be a wedding without it! We'll be serving wine, beer, and a cocktail or two.

Question

Can I take photos during the ceremony and reception?

Answer

We ask that guests refrain from taking pictures during the ceremony itself, that's what we're paying Tony the big bucks for! After the ceremony has concluded, and during the reception, snap away!
