Kaitlin and Brian met at the worst job that either of them would ever have - as servers at the Applebees at Fisherman's Wharf in San Francisco. Kaitlin was returning from summer break to go into her sophomore year at San Francisco State University, and Brian had recently transferred in as a junior. They bonded over long shifts, mozzarella sticks, and a shared major in English.
Brian asked Kaitlin to marry him on the bank of Lake McDonald in Glacier National Park after months of planning and almost blowing the surprise on multiple occasions leading up to the day. After tricking Kaitlin into dressing up for her best friend's birthday dinner later that night and then having a "spur of the moment" idea to go look for moose along the water, it's a wonder that Kaitlin still didn't see it coming.
August 2015 Kaitlin and Brian meet while attending SFSU and working at the same restaurant. They become Applebuddies, no, Applebesties. January 2016 After becoming friends at work, Kaitlin and Brian are pleasantly surprised to find out that they share 3 classes in the coming semester (Lit and Ecology, Post Apocalyptic Fiction, and Modern Criticism, real romantic stuff). Kaitlin spends the whole semester trying to keep up with Brian while he power walks from class to class. February 2017 After another year of close friendship, Brian and Kaitlin go on their first official date on February 6th to a small Italian restaurant. May 2018 Kaitlin and Brian drive around the country in a van with a 6'x3' living space for 2 months visiting over 20 states and over 15 National Parks. Somehow, they only have one argument (it was dark, late, and there were deer all over the road). September 2019 Kaitlin and Brian travel to Europe and visit 5 countries in 10 days. We are really bad at planning relaxing vacations. July 2021 Brian proposes to Kaitlin in Glacier National Park on July 30th.
