Brian and Genevieve met their freshman year at UMass and spent their first year as friends at tailgates, Hobart parties, late night at Berk and quad movie nights. Brian will tell you Genevieve didn't even know his name but this could not be more untrue. In fact leaving school that year she considered them good friends. When they returned to school that fall they decided to begin their lifetime adventure together!

Both Brian and Genevieve knew very early in their relationship they had found their forever. But to Genevieve's dismay it wouldn't be years until the proposal. After crying to Molly on the Fourth of July 2019 because Brian had not proposed yet Molly suggested we all go watch the sunset at Great Rock the next night because her boyfriend Steve had never been there. Not thinking anything of it Genevieve happily agreed, excited to show Steve the beautiful beach Great Rock is. As always Brian and Genevieve were the first ones down to the beach. After waiting some time Genevieve thought to herself "where are our friends? Steve is going to miss the sunset." So of course she took this opportunity to take a nap. Waking up a few minutes later she said "crap Brian is going to kill me, I just fell asleep." Brian suggested they get up and skip rocks while they wait. Very reluctantly Genevieve got up, still wondering why her friends were so late. When she finally saw all her friends walking down the beach very nicely dressed she said "everyone looks so fancy" to which Brian replied "that is because I have a question for you" It was then Genevieve realized this was the moment she had been waiting for since their first kiss.
