This is a pretty strange place...but it is really fun to walk around and find the wildest thing!
We went here on our first date...it closes at 10, we now know :)
The best fries we have ever eaten. Enough said.
Brian's favorite coffee in Salem...where some really cool people work!
Come for the best mini corn dogs ever.
This is a book store...where you can find a really old cat named Ginger (if you are lucky) If you visit you should definitely check out the free zines (small printed magazine/stories written by local artists) right near the front door, they are sometimes very funny.
This place will speak for itself...just go inside and get something :)
Really beautiful waterfalls (10+), what more do you want?
Arcade games, go karts, and other fun things!
Brian told Em to go here...for mini golf---then she knew he had good taste.
*This is a bit of a drive from Salem, but is only 20ish minutes from the Portland Airport* This fall has a great free parking area, is beautiful, and is only about 1/4 mile hike from Multnomah Falls (probably the most popular waterfall in Oregon!)
For those that are into shopping, these are really nice! But please avoid the croc store...Brian DOES NOT need any more crocs.
Just some really good Thai food...
This is where we got engaged!!! Also has a beautiful view of the Pacific Ocean. If you choose to do this hike, there is a place where the trail forks about 1 mile in, take the path on the right :) Please note: conditions can be a bit slick at the thumb, please be careful with your ankles up here! Another note: this is not God's Thumb from Holes :(
*This is about 1.5 hours from Salem but you will pass Upward Bound Camp on the way* This is one of Em's favorite places to hike. The trail going from the falls down to the McKenzie river is surreal with waterfalls, deep blue water, and a shocking river! If you are up for it you can hike 1/2 mile toward Koosah falls, or 4 to Blue Pool!
This is where Em works! It is pretty empty in March because the camp season hasn't started yet, but it is a fun place to check out (contact Em to see if you can get a tour!)
