Party on Dudes!

It all started two years ago when both of us met the other and thought...wow. there is no way someone that cool would go for me. So we remained at arm's length, at a church big enough where incredibly social people's circles can remain just barely separate for a shocking amount of time. Eventually the inevitable happened and the circles overlapped just enough for conversation to start, for nonsensical ideas to be shared with too much enthusiasm, and for accidental run-ins to become more purposeful. It is funny how God uses the most random moments--a shared star wars reference in fishbowl, an open seat in a pew, an existential crisis on your best friends couch, a prayer of surrender on the highway, a joke that really wasn't funny--to break down any idea that either of us had of what life could be like. But after these moments, and a text carefully crafted by someone gusty enough to believe in a future for us that we couldn't bring ourselves to imagine started it all. After approximately 5 hours of truly scattered conversation full of unfinished thoughts, questions, and stories we both began to believe what we deeply know now. I love you and I am loved by you. For what reason, we can't be sure, but God has written this story and we are just lucky to know that if He is in it then it will be good.
