A charming neighborhood filled with locally-owned shops and restaurants.

Carytown

Stroll along the river for beautiful views of Richmond. Cross the pedestrian bridge to Belle Isle, where you can picnic on the rocks. You can also explore the area by renting bicycles and kayaks.

Walk Along the James River

Located on the ruins of historic Tredegar Ironworks, this excellent museum tells the story of America's Civil War uses hundreds of artifacts and images and a dynamic theater experience.

This great (free!) museum holds 22,000 works of art from around the world.
