Casa Magoni or Bodegas Magoni was a surprised to us. When we selected our wedding venue, we found out that the venue was located in the property of Casa Magoni. We have visited Valle de Guadalupe many times in the last few years and never heard of Casa Magoni, so when we visited the venue we did a tasting on the same day and it was worth it. We recommend you visit Casa Magoni and sit under their giant oak tree that encapsulates the area.
We just discovered Bodegas Santo Tomas this year, but this winery is the oldest winery in the area. Our favorite bottle here is the Pet Nat, it is delicious, if you are into smooth, sparkling and tasty wine, the Cantarranas Pet Nat is the way to go!! Great views of the valley in this place!!
L.A. CETTO’s vineyard is a good place to go for an in-depth introduction to the wine varietals produced in Valle de Guadalupe. In addition to wine, L.A. CETTO also produces its own olive oil and makes its own chocolate. Great price for the wine tasting!
El Cielo is very popular with tourist, they have a great variety of tours and wine tastings, some of the tasting packages take you to their underground Cava and others take you through their vineyards in a carriage. Reservations ahead of time is recommended.
This is a great place to have a drink with an amazing view of the ocean, it's open air and their cocktails are delicious. This place is on top of a hill by a cliff and upon arrival/check-in to Cuatro Cuatros you will be greeted with a beer and transported in a mini bus to the top of the hill. This place requires a reservation well in advance and it has a minimum $ consumption typically around $45-70 per group depending on the area you choose to sit one. Tables closer to the edge has a higher consumption minimum.
Best traditional Mexican style breakfast! It is rated Bib Gourmand on Michelin guide "what began with humble roots in 2008 making burritos for local vineyard workers has evolved into one of the most famous restaurants in the Valle de Guadalupe. It's loaded with charm, from the heavy wood tables to the boisterous crowd of visitors and locals." No reservations needed
One of the best farm to table meals we've had. Be prepared for some farm animals (possibly tomorrow's lunch) walk around as you dine. Cool, covered outdoor seating with stunning views of the surrounding vineyards with some local artisans on the grounds with goods to sell such as jewelry and clothing. We recommend you make a reservation at this if you plan to go as it is a really popular restaurant.
