10 years ago two strangers walked into first period and immediately caught each other’s eye. We went on with our day but couldn’t stay away from each other long when we sat next to each other in Spanish class. Montrell made the first move boldly and quickly flirting with me in both classes. The guy behind us asked if “we were a couple?” In which Montrell quickly responded, “not yet!” He asked me to be his girlfriend in September 2013 and of course I said yes! One day we walked into English class holding hands, our teacher looked at us and asked “when’s the wedding?” We didn’t imagine it’d be 10 years later.
