Newport is blessed with a beautiful coastline and several public beaches to enjoy surf, sand, and sun. The largest of them is Easton's Beach - locally known as First Beach. Located on Memorial Boulevard at the start of the City's famed Cliff Walk, Easton's Beach occupies a 3/4 mile long stretch of sand with board walk and Atlantic facing surf. The snack bar also sells an AMAZING lobster roll!

The Breakers is the grandest of Newport's summer "cottages" and a symbol of the Vanderbilt family's social and financial preeminence in turn of the century America. As they are now national historical landmarks the Newport preservation society hosts incredible tours of the Newport mansions. If you have a car a must see is the 10 miles of commanding coastline along one winding road on Newport’s iconic Ocean Drive. Start your journey just off historic Bellevue Avenue and continue along for an undeniably tranquil journey with heart-stopping views. You’ll pass by Gilded Age mansions, Hammersmith Farm where Jackie Kennedy grew up, Brenton Point State Park, Fort Adams State Park, and Gooseberry Beach (where Mike & Briana will say I Do!). Don’t forget to roll the windows down to catch the soothing sound of rippling waves meeting the shoreline.
Newport is considered one of the sailing capitals of the world. Among its many claims to that title is the fact that it is home to the largest fleet of America’s Cup 12 Meters in the world, most of which are available for charter.
