An 1.8 miles out and back hike, about 300 feet of elevation gain. An easy hike with a big payoff… a scenic alpine lake with sandy shores, plenty of space to spread out, and no agenda once you get there. Pack a picnic and some drinks, find a spot, and stay a while. If you’re feeling brave, it’s a great cold plunge opportunity.
