FAQs

Question

Is there a ceremony?

Answer

We’re keeping the ceremony just the two of us. Saturday night dinner is the main event, and we can’t wait to celebrate with you there!

Question

When should I arrive?

Answer

We recommend arriving Friday. it’s a long drive for most people and we don’t take it lightly that you’re making the trip for us. We’re hoping you’ll make a full weekend of it in one of our favorite places, just like we do.

Question

Is there a planned itinerary for the weekend?

Answer

Outside of Saturday’s dinner, the weekend is yours. We may add an informal gathering or two as plans come together, but for now it’s all self-directed. We’ve put together some activity suggestions to help you make the most of it, so explore at your own pace.

Question

Are kids invited?

Answer

While we love your little ones, our wedding will be an adults-only celebration. Additionally, due to limited space, we’re only able to accommodate those guests listed on the invitation.

Question

What should I pack?

Answer

Fall in Mammoth means warm days and cold nights, sometimes very cold. Layers are essential. We’d suggest: ∙ A warm jacket or fleece (you’ll need it by evening) ∙ Comfortable walking or hiking shoes ∙ Swimsuit and cozy layers for a night at the hot springs ∙ Sunscreen. The altitude is no joke! ∙ Mountain Cocktail Attire for Saturday Event: midi/maxi dresses, fun suits, dressy separates, boots or dress shoes encouraged.

Question

What’s the altitude?

Answer

Mammoth Lakes sits at around 8,000 feet. Give yourself a day to adjust, drink plenty of water, and take it easy when you first arrive, especially if you’re coming from sea level.
