Welcome to "Little Denmark" This 2 mile town, will transport you to a real life Epcot country! Solvang can be explored entirely on foot, although there are horse trolleys and bike rentals available! Both Street and free public parking take a little bit of searching on busy weekends. The town is lined with all kinds of local shops, Danish bakeries; find some Ebelskivers! The town is also full of... you guessed it... Wine Tasting with over 20 tasting rooms. *Tocatta and Lucas & Lewellen are Briana's two favorites in town. Our favorite dining in Solvang is Cecco, but there are many others we can recommend, No town would be complete without an Irish Pub, visit the small establishment, Fitzpatrick's with a giant portion of Shepard pie! Solvang is definitely a "day time town" the side walks tend to roll up about 9:00 PM.
For those staying in the Santa Ynez Valley this dive bar is literally the only game in town open late. Recommended that you embrace its rustic feel, and bring your dancing shoes. The Mav does have a shuttle option because Uber/Lyft options are a bit scarce up here in the back country.
Small store front wine tasting room in Buellton, see if you can taste on my membership, they might allow it! These are some of the best Pinot Noir you have ever tasted. See if Melanie is pouring, knows ALL about the Briana Conway wedding.
The Boat House is one of the most beautiful ocean front establishments in Santa Barbara great for sunset or brunch! If you are thinking of going down to the sand of Hendry's Beach there is one binding rule "you must love dogs" Hendry's is considered dog beach where they can gallop play on and off leash. No dogs in the restaurant area. Also the parking is chaotic, but with patience and slowly watching for those leaving, you always can get a spot.
*East Beach is going to be larger, flatter and with options for Volley ball *Leadbetter Beach is tucked close to the cliff and popular for paddle boarders. Also has a full restaurant and bar where you can put you toes in the sand. (Shoreline Cafe) *Hendry's Beach - see boathouse recommendation, its beautiful, popular, and full of dogs *Refugio State Beach - about halfway point between Santa Barbara and Santa Ynez. Gorgeous alcove with lots of palm trees
Santa Barbara is not just for posh retirees any longer! The Funk Zone is SB's vert own hipster scene, a warehouse district that's been transformed over the past few years with lots of bars and eateries to enjoy. Popular Spots: Lamma Dog Taproom, The Lark, Seven, and Lucky Penny Pizza.
