FAQs

Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

We kindly ask that you RSVP via our website by Tuesday, May 5, 2026, so we can finalize plans with our vendors. Thank you!

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

The dress code for our wedding is cocktail attire. Ladies may wear a cocktail or midi dress, or a dressy jumpsuit. Men are encouraged to wear a suit or sport coat with a tie.

Question

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

Yes! Please visit the Travel page on our website to view our recommended hotels and use the booking code provided to reserve a room by May 10.

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

We recommend arriving at the church 30 minutes before the ceremony begins, around 1:30 p.m., to allow time for seating.

Question

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

Due to venue capacity, we are only able to accommodate the guests listed on your invitation. We appreciate your understanding!

Question

Can we bring our kids?

Answer

While we love your little ones, our wedding will be primarily an adults-only celebration. Please refer to your invitation to see who is included in your party.

Question

Will transportation be provided to and from the hotels for the ceremony and reception?

Answer

Guests will be responsible for their own transportation from the hotels to the ceremony (via car or Uber/Lyft). Ride-share services are widely available in the area. Please plan accordingly! Shuttle service will be provided from both wedding hotels to the reception venue. A shuttle will pick up guests at the Embassy Suites Springfield at 4:20 p.m. and the Hilton Garden Inn Woodbridge at 4:25 p.m. for transportation to the reception. At the end of the reception, a shuttle will return guests who are not attending the after party to both hotels.

Question

Is parking available at the ceremony and reception venues?

Answer

Yes, both Nativity Church and The River View offer ample parking. However, your safety is important to us. If you plan to enjoy alcoholic beverages, we kindly encourage you to use the hotel shuttles or a ride-share service.

Question

Is there a gap between the ceremony and reception?

Answer

Yes, there will be some time between the ceremony and reception. The ceremony is expected to end around 2:45 p.m., giving guests time to return to their hotels and freshen up before the reception begins at 5 p.m. For local guests looking for a place to relax before cocktail hour, Glory Days Grill is right around the corner from the church, and Historic Occoquan (located across from the reception venue) offers plenty of bars, restaurants, and shops to explore.

Question

Is there an after party?

Answer

Yes! Our after party will begin around 11 p.m. at The Electric Palm. A shuttle will take guests from the reception venue to the bar, and return guests staying at the Embassy Suites and Hilton Garden Inn to their hotels at 1:30 a.m. You can RSVP to the after party on your invitation. We hope you’ll join us for late-night bites and cocktails on the upstairs patio! (Please note: This is a 21+ event.)
