Alexander Springs Recreation Area
One of the best springs for swimming! Absolutely gorgeous, also has a 67-site campground with hookups. 33 mins from the wedding venue.
Trout Lake Nature Center
Great for kids! Small Nature Center with gorgeous trees, a boardwalk, and an educational facility displaying Florida species. Closed on Mondays. $5 per vehicle, 26 mins from the wedding venue.
Mount Dora
Mount Dora is an adorable little town only 35 mins from the wedding venue, it has a great selection of antique shops, boutiques, and restaurants. The Plant and Garden Fair is happening on Saturday and would make a great morning activity before the wedding. Trout Lake Nature Center is on the way, as well!
Silver Springs State Park
Silver Springs is an adorable time capsule. This State Park features glass-bottom boat rides, hiking, paddling, a museum, and camping (no swimming, though). One of Callie's favorite springs "attractions," tons of movies have been filmed here- including Creature from the Black Lagoon and a Bond movie! 35 mins from the wedding venue.
