Things To Do

There really is so much to do in Memphis, along with it being THE place for foodies. Here are just some of our favorite spots that we hope our out-of-town guests will get to visit!

Terrace at The River Inn

50 Harbor Town Square, Memphis, TN 38103
, (901) 260-3366

A quaint rooftop bar near our home that has amazing river views and good cocktails.

Overton Square

2101 Madison Avenue, Memphis, TN 38104
, (901) 761-3333

Our venue is located in this popular Midtown area, which hosts an array of fun restaurants, bars, murals, and shops. We recommend Lafayette's for live music while you dine.

Cooper Young Historic District

2120 Young Avenue, Memphis, TN 38104
, (901) 276-7222

The cutest of neighborhoods and an area that means a lot to both of us. It's a trendy cross section (and beyond) with lots of local eateries and such. We recommend...all of them :)

Bass Pro Shops at the Pyramid

1 Bass Pro Drive, Memphis, TN 38105
, (901) 291-8200

No, not for the shopping (unless you're into that kind of thing!). For the ability to see impressive panoramic views on the top of this famous 32-story pyramid.

Crosstown Concourse

1350 Concourse Avenue, Memphis, TN 38104
, (901) 203-8300

This is a hard one to explain. It's, like, an ultra hip concrete jungle. You just have to visit to understand.

WISEACRE Brewing Co.

2783 Broad Avenue, Memphis, TN 38112
, (901) 888-7000

Just one of our local breweries with REALLY good beer. It's also in a super cool area called Broad Ave. However, Wiseacre is just one of our six(?) breweries in Memphis. We also like Memphis Made, High Cotton, and Crosstown.

Central BBQ - Downtown

147 East Butler Avenue, Memphis, TN 38103
, (901) 672-7760

You gotta. It's a Memphis thing.

Aldo’s Pizza Pies - Downtown

100 South Main Street, Memphis, TN 38103
, (901) 577-7743

Charlie's favorite pizza place. There's one in Midtown and also on Main Street downtown (yet another fun district to visit - less touristy than Beale, but still awesome for nightlife). He recommends the "Willie Cheech and Chong" pizza.

Mollie Fontaine Lounge

679 Adams Avenue, Memphis, TN 38105
, (901) 524-1886

Suuuuuch a fun bar in a historical 2-story Victorian house, complete with the prettiest decor and DJs that guarantee you'll dance.

Earnestine & Hazel's

531 South Main Street, Memphis, TN 38103
, (901) 523-9754

And another historic gem; this one located on South Main. It's a legit old brothel that's said to be "America's most haunted bar". If you like dive bars, this is the best.

For all the days along the way
