COVID Precautions

Dear family and friends, We hope you and yours are healthy and safe during this time, and we appreciate all the love and support we’ve received from each of you. Although COVID has created much uncertainty, we WILL be proceeding with our wedding celebration reception on June 11, 2022. Nurse Brewster (mother of “bride”) has requested anyone who has been in large groups (unmasked) or has any symptoms (including allergy) to please test within 24 hours of the Welcome Party/Reception. Every guest we have invited is fully vaccinated, and we have asked serving staff to wear masks. Hand sanitizers are available at the cocktail hour and market display food areas. Two tables will be available upstairs for those who want to separate further from the group during the reception. We have seated people as much as possible by work and family groups, and we hope you sit that way at the table you are assigned. Also, please feel free to wear a mask if you feel more comfortable, especially while on the dance floor. Thank you with much love; we cannot wait to party with you! The Welcome Party at The Painted Duck also has mostly vaccinated staff and hand sanitizers will be available. Also feel free to mask at this event space. Katie and Sam

The Celebration Continues!

We married in a private ceremony 3/6/2021, but that doesn't mean the party is over! We hope you can join us for our reception in Atlanta 6/11/22. Here's to a full year of celebrations (and vaccinations!)

Our Story

We met while both pursuing degrees in English at Rhodes College in Memphis, Tennessee and began dating in September of 2015. Once starting school, we—well—never really left. Sam is an English teacher at Darlington School in Rome, Georgia. Katie is an Admission Counselor at Oglethorpe University in Atlanta. Fittingly, Sam proposed at the beautiful Lake Pleiad in Vermont while pursuing his Master's from the Middlebury Bread Loaf School of English. We are absolutely ecstatic to be taking this next step in our relationship. Thank you for the role you've had in our relationship and helping to develop who we are as people. We're thankful to have the most wonderful family, neighbors, coworkers, and friends a couple could ask for. Much love, Katie and Sam
