Maid of Honor
Sister.Best friend.Hero. Lindy & Bailey are 361 days apart and are closer than ever. Some of their biggest arguments revolve around Bailey borrowing (stealing) Lindy's clothes, but nothing will keep these two apart; they text/call each other every day even being 1600+ miles away from each other. They both like to keep life light and fun; some of their combined birthday parties include: sumo wrestling suit matches, having a Fear Factor-themed party & renting clowns. These two have been skydiving together, ziplining in Cozumel, & rafting in Jamaica. To no surprise, Bailey & Lindy were engaged within a year apart. They are two peas in a pod and no matter how long since they've seen each other, it's always a tearful 'cya later.'
Best Man
Scott & Kyle first met at the University of Colorado while re-starting the Kappa Sigma Fraternity chapter there. A great friendship from the beginning, there were few events and milestones in each others' lives that they were not a part of together. From football games, parties, & concerts, to road-trips, spring breaks, & whitewater rafting trips in Oregon, Scott is never one to let a moment go to waste. More than once while they were roommates, Kyle was awoken to Scott hitting him with a lacrosse stick, screaming how "we needed to go on an adventure", only to end up somewhere tame like the mall to buy Christmas gifts, OR ending up in Wyoming at the first fireworks stand available. Kyle refers to Scott as his "travel agent" as he basically plans all of their trips together--no shame there!
Bridesmaid
Molly & Bailey have been friends since high school when they met through their job as lifeguards. Bailey spent many nights at Molly's parents home and Bailey likes to think she is another daughter of the Phillips family, although they didn't appreciate us leaving alcohol on their bathroom counters...from spring break in Cancun, chasing waterfalls in Oregon, countless concerts, tailgating Nebraska football games, and few fake ID's later, Molly & Bailey remain extremely close. She even recently called Bailey while running on her 19th mile of a marathon to help encourage (distract) her. Molly's little girl, Lena, is one of the flower girls...and spitting image of Mama Molly. You'll just have to see for yourself. :)
Groomsman
Rob&Kyle first met while in ROTC together at CU.Kyle has a vague memory of Rob yelling at him for his hair being out of regulation (for some reason the Army is against curly afros).Their friendship was cemented while being brothers in Kappa Sigma,& continued to grow stronger while both served in the Army, with Rob being an amazing mentor & sounding board. To say Rob makes his presence known wherever he goes, would be an understatement ;but it is that gregariousness and love of company & adventure that makes him such a great friend. Rob lived with Kyle in Omaha while applying to MBA programs; there he met Bailey & instantly they became close friends as well.It was Rob who told Kyle that "she is way out of your league, but somehow still likes you, don't mess this up!" Obviously,Kyle obliged!
Bridesmaid
Blair is a college friend who Bailey met through mutual friends. Bailey and Blair became especially close on trips visiting our friend, Stephanie in Tampa, late nights in New Orleans on a bachelorette party & even living in Arizona at the same time. We spent our weekends in AZ bopping around to breweries, grilling out by their pool, driving to Mexico (yes, driving to Mexico), Sedona and other fun spots around Phoenix. Kyle & Blair's husband Trent became buddies along the way, even. Bailey still wishes Blair lived in the same city, but in the meanwhile, monthly phone chats and visits will have to do... June, Blair's little girl, is one of the flower girls. The jury is still out if June will be walking yet or being pulled in a wagon down the aisle. :)
Groomsman
Dave & Kyle met while getting their MBAs at Arizona State University. Fate put them on a team together early in the program, and there was no turning back! Although their friendship is only a few years old, Kyle knows that this will be one to last a lifetime. Dave & Kyle found a way to ensure they were teammates for almost every class they could, so many a night was spent on campus, studying hard and working late, but still filled with lots of laughter, sarcasm, & (sometimes) heated discussions. It wasn't all work though, and the two have gone on many trips together, and do not plan on stopping anytime soon! Dave is a fiercely loyal friend, who always sees the best in people. His New Jersey attitude ensures his opinion on his favorite NY sports teams & Penn State will be heard
Bridesmaid
Sidney & Bailey met right after college through mutual friends on a party bus to a Florida Georgia Line concert, a night that didn't end swimmingly for anyone, with the exception of a new friendship blossoming. Sidney & Bailey hit it off with their mutual love interest for pizza, lazy Sundays watching weird documentaries, doing YouTube science experiments, Halloween & roller-blading. Adventure buddies is an understatement- expect no quiet moments when these two are together. They have plans to live in the same city ... hopefully sooner rather than later.
Groomsman
Jason & Kyle met at CU as brothers of Kappa Sigma. Jason is the "wild, rowdy Texan" that people knew would always be at the heart of a good time! Jason is never one to shy away from adventure and experiences, and whenever he and Kyle travel together, fun and hilarity always ensues. Speaking of not being shy, there may be more than one occasion while on annual Deschutes rafting trips that Jason would strip down to his "birthday suit" and decide to hike a very cumbersome mountain, which we guess is to experience nature in all its glory?! Although he lives across the country, Jason always makes time to FaceTime Kyle (& all his friends) to check in & get updates about life. Kyle looks forward to getting out to Ft Worth ASAP for a concert at Jason's awesome music venue (Tulips) that he started.
Bridesmaid
Steph & Bailey bonded over nachos- no, seriously, they bonded over cheesy chips. If there is ever a person that was down for beer & greasy food, it is always Steph; these two even went as far as getting matching tattoos (anchors on the back of our necks, if you're curious). Their friendship grew stronger after years of being on a sand volleyball league, and although Bailey wasn't very good, the beer and conversation always was. On weekends, Bailey visits home, Steph is ALWAYS the friend to stick around after-hours to catch up, even bringing along her husband & in-laws who Bailey & Kyle also are close with. Fun fact: Stephanie's husband, Bob, married Bailey's sister, Lindy!
Groomsman
Mark and Kyle met at CU as brothers of the Kappa Sigma Fraternity. Memories were made from the very beginning, including a road trip to Arizona, which was filled with over-capacity vehicles, fireworks, maybe a Santa Claus sighting, and some other parts which cannot be named due to unclear statutes of limitations (be sure to ask him about it)! Mark has a fervor for life and an even bigger passion for his friends. Always quick to reach out to check in or to assist anyone in need, he on multiple occasions, will drop whatever he is doing to fly somewhere to lend a helping hand or go on a trip with the bros. Mark was present when Kyle first created (and found out) his favorite breakfast drink, the Tequila Sprite, which obviously ensures that this friendship will withstand the test of time!
Bridesmaid
Taylor & Bailey first met and bonded over a phone call when Bailey was driving to Lincoln, NE on a Friday night to raise the roof with girlfriends. When Bailey called her friend Molly to see if she needed to grab anything on the way, Taylor answered and this where their love story really started. Taylor & Bailey hit it off over a phone call on Bailey's drive up. Once Bailey arrived that evening, T and B were inseparable. They connected over an Usher playlist and Halloween costumes. These two have a knack for dancing on boats and playing DJ at any gathering. Since that night, they've been roommates and now, good friends. Taylor has more videos on her phone of Bailey dancing and doing other questionable things than anyone she knows...one of many reasons Bailey stays friends with Taylor. ;)
Bridesmaid
Emily is Kyle's sister and although it's not 'official' yet, Emily & Bailey are already sisters. They bonded over their love for costume parties and within the first year of Kyle & Bailey dating; Emily was already borrowing outfits from Bailey's costume box. Some of Bailey's favorite nights in Omaha were bar-hopping with Emily, gossiping over yummy cocktails in Benson. You may catch these two sneaking into floor seats of a Jimmy Buffet concert, screaming 'Cheeseburger in Paradise,' margarita in hand!
Bridesmaid
Beth & Bailey met in high school through mutual friends. Aka Mama Beth. From hanging out in attics, floats down the Niobrara River, and cutting a rug at the College World Series, Beth & Bailey remain good friends after 15 years. During this time, Bailey also became close with Beth's family and to this day, stay connected to them. Bailey's idea of style is a hoodie & shorts, Beth has always kept Bailey in line and would always do her makeup and pick out her outfits before they hit the town- don't be surprised if you see Beth keeping Bailey's dress/makeup in check on her wedding day.
Bridesmaid
Melissa is Bailey's sister. A majority of Bailey's weekends, growing up, was spent at the 'redneck lake' where the family would (and still do!) drink beer, drive four-wheelers, ride golf carts, and listen to music around a fire. There wasn't a weekend that Melissa missed. During these weekends, Melissa, like any sister, would question Bailey's decisions on past boyfriends, Bailey's just glad she approves of Kyle. :)
