Brett has been going to the Island with family and friends since 2010 and it quickly became his favorite vacation destination. When Brett and Emery first started dating in November, 2019 it was soon after that he brought Emery along to the island for the very first time. She quickly fell in love with it as much as he did which has led to them traveling back to the island several times over their 5 years of dating. On April 11th 2024, Brett proposed to Emery on Punta Sur while on vacation with friends. They quickly realized that they wanted all of their close family and friends to experience the island as well. The best way to make this happen is to tie the knot in one of their favorite places. One of their favorite things to do is to golf cart around the island and bar hop to all of the amazing restaurants and bars the island has to offer. From The Joint with the legendary frozen mojitos, to the “Don’t have more than 2” margaritas from Soggy Pesos, there is no lack of places you can find a drink at. They enjoy the food just as much. From the pizza at Oscars to a nice dinner at Olivias. They usually top it off with a street cart crepe that is always the perfect nightcap. They have stayed at Air BnB’s on the island but nothing quite beats staying on Playa Norte (North Beach) which has one of the most beautiful beaches in the world. They have stayed at the hotel Playa Arena multiple times and having access to the beach as well as being within walking distance to the main strip on the island is always hard to beat.
