We're Getting Married!

Courtney, a southern girl from the town of Louisville (loo-vol), Kentucky. She always knew she would move out west to the Rocky Mountains - it was a dream sparked by a family ski trip to Vail when she was 12. That dream lingered on as she earned her psychology degree at the University of Louisville (Go Cards!). Freshly graduated, she pounced at the opportunity to pursue her dream, packed her bags, and moved to Park City, Utah with her cousins. Eager to start a career, after working the Fall at Vail resorts, she got a job interview in Denver, Colorado for a tech sales company. Having recently celebrated her 25th birthday in Breckenridge, she decided to extend her Colorado visit and ski. It was that weekend, after a successful interview, though not quite knowing that yet, she decided to go out on the town. It was a night out that would change her life… Brett was a Colorado native, born and raised in in Louisville (lewis-ville). He grew up competing with his two brothers, of which he was between in age. While they each bested him in several categories, he held the reins when it came to skiing. So, ski trips were a normal occurrence for him, however, this particular ski trip was exceptional. Naive at the time, if asked, he might’ve told you that it was special because he had a friend in town - a friend he went to college with at Cal Poly SLO. Reaching the end of a long week on the mountain, the two decided to go out for “just a beer or two.” The exceptionality of the ski trip was soon revealed… Brett and Courtney encountered each other at Burke and Riley’s Irish pub in Breckenridge, CO. On a mid-December night they were bundled up, sitting across from each other at a picnic table on the porch of the pub casually mingling after a chance introduction. Courtney noticed something enchanting about his eyes. Brett took a quick liking to Courtney’s cheeky smile, trying everything in his arsenal to prompt yet another giggle - a relentless endeavor to this day. Meeting up first thing in the morning, the two eagerly took to the slopes, falling in love with every turn, and capping off the date with lunch under an afternoon view of the beautiful Rocky Mountains. A magical setting for the beginning of forever.
