Travel

Southern California is home to several airports. Depending on where you are flying from, one airport may have better or more affordable flights. It is recommended to use Google Flights and plug in all of the possible airport codes to view your options. Listed below are all of the airports in the area and their distance from Palm Springs. We highly recommend flying into Palm Springs airport to avoid L.A. traffic if you are only going to be in town for the weekend or are not comfortable driving in LA! The Palm Springs airport is extremely convenient and close by. October is a busy season for Palm Springs so please book your hotel accommodations early! Since this is a destination wedding for many, we hope that you'll enjoy making a mini vacation out of your visit to California!

We have secured a room block at the Hyatt Palm Springs which is less than a mile from our venue. They also have a shuttle that runs to/from our venue and the PSP airport. To make your reservations, please use the the link or you may call 888-421-1442 and reference group G-28TA. Rates are set at $199 a night ( plus tax and resort fee). There are 2 options: King Suites or 2 Queen Suites. Each option also includes a sofa with a pull out bed to help accommodate families or friend groups. If the option you're looking for is not available, please let us know and we can ask Hyatt if they can release more rooms.

Flight

Palm Springs Airport

Less than a 10 minute drive from the venue, PSP is the most convenient airport. We highly recommend flying into PSP if you are not planning on renting a car, are not comfortable with driving in L.A. traffic, or will only be spending the weekend in California.

Flight

Los Angeles Airport

LAX is the largest airport in the area with tons of flights daily which makes it an affordable option. From LAX, Palm Springs is about a 2-3 hour drive. Please allow ample travel time due to LA traffic.

Flight

John Wayne Airport

SNA is a relatively small airport located in the Santa Ana / Anaheim area. If you are planning on making a trip to Disneyland while visiting California, the SNA airport is very conveniently located. Due to the smaller feel, baggage claim and rental car services are a much smoother/faster process than flying into LAX. SNA is personally one of my favorite airports because of how easy & efficient it is compared to LAX. From SNA, Palm Springs is about a 2-3 hour drive. Please allow ample travel time due to LA traffic.

Flight

Hollywood Burbank Airport

BUR is a small airport located North of Los Angeles and close to the Hollywood area. Just like SNA, BUR's smaller feel allows quicker baggage and rental car times. Southwest Airlines flies a large majority of the flights from this airport. From BUR, Palm Springs is about a 2-3 hour drive. Please allow ample travel time due to LA traffic.

Flight

Ontario Airport

Don't confuse this with Canada! The Ontario International airport (ONT) is located in Southern California and is about an hour and twenty minutes from Palm Springs. This is a great option if you want to skip driving in LA.

Flight

Long Beach Airport

LGB is a small airport located close to the cruise ports. It is located about 2-3 hours away from Palm Springs. Please allow ample travel time due to LA traffic.

Flight

San Diego

If you're adding a stop in San Diego to your trip, the SAN airport is a larger airport with plenty of flight options. The drive from San Diego to Palm Springs is typically 2 to 3.5 hours.

Flight

Las Vegas Airport

LAS is a large airport with several flights, which may be an affordable option. If you're looking to enjoy a fun road trip while visiting, Palm Springs is only about a 4 hour drive. The drive includes scenic views through the desert with lots of Joshua trees, but note that the drive can be very rural with spotty reception. You will want to ensure that you have a reliable vehicle for this route.

Train

Transportation

Renting a car is not always necessary to reach Palm Springs. If you are flying into LAX, consider heading to Los Angeles' Union Station. From there you can take a FLIX bus or the Amtrak for about $20. Please allow ample travel time due to LA traffic. Use the link to find out more! (Union Station is not in LAX, you would need to travel to the station).
