Things To Do

We're excited to share the city we call home with you. The city is known for its many museums, historic sites, and government building tours, but there's also some smaller gems. At the top of the list is the link to all the Smithsonians, so you can see all that those institutions have to offer. Note that ALL Smithsonians are completely free! Not listed are places to eat, but PLEASE reach out if you want recommendations.

Big hits are the African American Museum, the Air and Space Museum, and the National Gallery of Art.

Washington National Cathedral

This is a remarkable sight.

National Mall

Washington, DC

You can't go wrong walking the National Mall: the Lincoln Memorial, Tidal Basin, Vietnam Memorial, Korean Memorial, WWII Memorial, Washington Monument, and bonus points if you can find the District of Columbia War Memorial. It can be a long walk -- bring a bottle of water and some cash in case you want to get some cold water from a stand or seller along the way.

For all the days along the way
