Things To Do

The Wedding Website of Jordan Douglas Goldsmith and Brent Michael Holst
While we encourage our loved ones to take full advantage of the incredible amenities and activities available to our guests at the all-inclusive, Dreams Vallarta Bay Resort, we understand that some of you may wish to explore Puerto Vallarta beyond the resort. For those adventurous souls, there are plenty of exciting experiences that we recommend.
Malecón Boardwalk

Malecón Boardwalk

Paseo Díaz Ordaz s/n, Centro, 48300, Puerto Vallarta, Jal., Mexico

A trip to Puerto Vallarta is not complete without a stroll down the famous Malecón! This colorful boardwalk is recognized worldwide as a lively hub of art, nightlife, activities, and restaurants. (5-10 minute drive or 30 minute walk from Dreams Vallarta Bay)

Hidden Beach at Marietas Islands

Hidden Beach at Marietas Islands

Vallarta Adventures' Center, Av. Las Palmas #39, Nuevo Vallarta, Nayarit 63732, Mexico

Formed as a result of volcanic activity, this group of uninhabited islands is a great place to spot marine wildlife and is best known for the photogenic Hidden Beach, a small bay completely enclosed by rock that can only be accessed by a water tunnel at low tide. (30 minute drive from Dreams Vallarta Bay)

Yelapa and Majahuitas Day Tour

Yelapa and Majahuitas Day Tour

Vallarta Adventures | Marina Vallarta, Mástil 13, Marina Vallarta, Puerto Vallarta, Jal. 48335, Mexico

Get away from the modernity of Puerto Vallarta and immerse yourself in nature at two private coves accessible only by boat — Yelapa and Majahuitas! Sail on a catamaran to discover beautiful backdrops and snorkeling in calm and clear bays, even hiking to a secluded waterfall and visiting an intimate fishing village on this unforgettable adventure. (Vallarta Adventures is a 15 minute drive from Dreams Vallarta Bay)

Sayulita & San Pancho Day Tour

Sayulita & San Pancho Day Tour

Vallarta Adventures | Marina Vallarta, Mástil 13, Marina Vallarta, Puerto Vallarta, Jal. 48335, Mexico

Escape the bustle of Puerto Vallarta and enjoy a relaxing excursion to two picturesque local villages during this half-day tour to Sayulita and San Pancho. Experience a foodie paradise and indulge your senses in colorful local communities. (Vallarta Adventures is a 15 minute drive from Dreams Vallarta Bay)

Faro de Matamoros

Faro de Matamoros

Calle Matamoros, 478 Proyecto Escola, Puerto Vallarta, Jal. 48300, Mexico

Matamoros Lighthouse is a defunct lighthouse along Matamoros Street. This 110-foot high lighthouse is a Marina Vallartas landmark and features a circular lounge with live music at the top. (Faro de Matamoros is a 10 minute drive or 40 minute walk from Dreams Vallarta Bay)

Church of Our Lady of Guadalupe

Church of Our Lady of Guadalupe

Hidalgo 370, Proyecto escola, Centro 48300, Puerto Vallarta, Jal., Mexico

Known by locals as La Iglesia de Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe, this astounding parish is found just a block from the city's famous Malecón Boardwalk and is recognized as one of the most important structures in Banderas Bay. Open daily and access is free. (10 minute drive or 40 minute walk from Dreams Vallarta Bay)

Hill of the Cross Viewpoint

Hill of the Cross Viewpoint

LB Abasolo, Puerto Vallarta, Jal. 48304, Mexico

Also referred to by locals as Mirador de La Cruz, this location is considered by some as the best panoramic view of Puerto Vallarta. Located near Malecón Boardwalk, this site requires a short 0.5 mile "hike" to access (takes an average of 15-20 min to complete), but is viewed as a popular activity in the mornings to get your sweat on or in the evenings to catch a fantastic sunset.
