The "heart" of the city.
If you've never been, it's a lovely building. If it's been a while, it's still a lovely building haha! They do have tours but usually it's cool just to cruise up Congress to see it.
It's a little awkward to say about a cemetery but this is a very neat place.
Like the Capitol there are tours (but you have to book them in advance). The best view (and the iconic one) is from south of it.
Natch
Really cool sculpture garden with a trail that takes you near the lake.
The Texas State History Museum!
UT's art museum, if that's your thing!
One-stop-spot for shopping, dining and drinking
If it's one of those beautiful and comfortable days the lake is a great place to take a jog/stroll (there's a trail that runs along the banks) or to explore by canoe or stand-up paddleboard (there are a few rental places around).
Lots of kitschy shops and a few fun restaurants/bars!
Don't fill up on either before the wedding, but this is one of our favorites for both beer and pizza! They've won quite a few GABF medals for the former and if you like IPAs this is a must-do.
Excellent urban winery! We almost had the wedding here but then realized it would have been too small hehehe It's in a really cool "hipster industrial" park that also includes Still Austin (distillery) and also St. Elmo (brewery).
Very cool place to visit; we're mainly including this because there a bunch of other places out this way (Deep Eddy Vodka and a few breweries, most notably Jester King) that make for a great day trip.
One of our favorite bars!
Excellent cocktail bar that also serves beer/wine and some great food.
One of the originals in town, produces one of the finest Hefeweizens you'll ever have.
One of Brent's faves (behind ABW); it's a little hard to get to because of construction but you won't be disappointed.
Awesome dive bar serving nothing but craft, including their own!
