Where are you getting married?

We are getting married at the Omni Grove Park Inn in Asheville, NC. Details for the ceremony and timeline can be found on the 'Schedule' tab.

Where should we stay?

Answer

We have reserved a block of rooms at the Hilton Garden Inn downtown at a special rate! You can find the link to the room block under the "Travel" section of our website. This property is centrally located and walking distance from many bars and restaurants. It's less than a mile from our Welcome Party venue at Green Man Brewing and about a 7 min drive from our ceremony venue. You may also want to stay at our venue, the Omni Grove Park Inn. Right now, the rates are actually preferable if you book directly on their website, but free to reach out to Tessa and Jack as they may be able to secure additional rooms at their room block rate. In additional to hotels, there are many Bed & Breakfasts and Airbnb options available close to downtown and our wedding venue.

What is the closest airport?

Answer

The closest airport to our venue is Asheville Regional Airport (AVL) - 20m. Other options are Tri-Cities Regional Airport (TRI) - 1.5 hr, or Charlotte Douglas Intl Airport (CLT) - 2 hr.

Do I need to rent a car?

Answer

There are many Lyfts and Ubers in Asheville and getting downtown and to the venue should be relatively simple. Do note that Asheville is a smaller city so wait times may be a bit longer. From the airport, we were able to get a ride share easily, but we suggest walking to the pick up area and waiting after the initial traffic of deplaning is gone to avoid sky-high rates. If you are planning on going hiking in the surrounding area or flying into an airport that is further than AVL, you will likely want to rent a car.

What is the easiest way to get to and from your wedding venue?

The easiest option if you aren't staying at the property will be to use Uber or Lyft.

Is there parking at the Omni Grove Park Inn?

Answer

There is parking available at our venue. If you chose to park yourself, the fee for 6-24 hours is $25. Valet parking is available for $30.

Can I make reservations for any of the Grove Park Resort Activities if I stay there?

Answer

It is encouraged that guests take advantage of advance booking of Spa, dining, golf, and recreation reservations. These reservations can be confirmed through the Omni Grove Park Inn Reservations Department at 800-438-5800.

Will your wedding be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

We are hopeful that we will be able to have an outdoor ceremony, followed by an indoor reception at the Seely Pavillion.

What is the weather going to be like?

Answer

The weather at this time of year in Asheville is typically mild and comfortable with highs around 75 degrees and lows around 50 degrees.

Are you having a welcome party?

Answer

Yes! Our welcome party is on Thursday evening for all invited guests. It will be held on the third floor of Green Man Brewing in the South Slope neighborhood in Asheville. You can find more details under the "Schedule" section of our website.

What is the dress code?

Answer

Welcome Party - Dressy Casual: Button downs or polos, sundresses, skirts, or dressy pants with a blouse would be perfect. Ceremony/Reception - Semi-Formal: Tuxes and gowns are welcome, and so are suits and cocktail dresses.

Am I allowed to bring a plus one?

Answer

Your wedding invitation will specify if you are invited to bring a guest with you.

Am I allowed to bring my children?

Answer

While we love kids, our wedding is an adults-only celebration with the exception of our wedding party.

What type of food will be served at your wedding?

Answer

We will have a cocktail hour with small bites followed by a reception with a plated dinner. More to come!
