We're Getting Married!

Jack and Tessa met on their first day of freshman year at Cornell in August of 2014, where they both swam on the varsity team. From there, the relationship moved at a snail's pace. During the college years, they were friends but dated other people and never had romantic interest in one another. That all changed when Tessa moved to Boston in 2021 - they reconnected through their mutual best friends (Billy & Luke) and began hanging out regularly. They quickly bonded over the love of their dogs (Maple & Stanley) and shared hobbies (skiing and running). In February of 2022, 7 1/2 years after they first met, Jack asked Tessa on a date and have been inseparable ever since.

Jack proposed to Tessa on October 8th, 2023 on top of Sugarbush Mountain in Vermont. This was a very meaningful place to them because they often go to Vermont for weekend trips with their friends in the summer and winter months, and have made many special memories there. Jack hired a photographer and set up a surprise at one of their favorite places, Barr Hill, where he had curated a custom cocktail menu featuring their dogs.
