We are excited to see you all very soon! See below for a couple of updates: (1) NYBG ENTRANCE: When you arrive at the Garden, please make sure you use the Mosholu Entrance at 2950 Southern Blvd. Note that this is not the regular entrance to NYBG, which is a bit further down the road. (2) TRAIN TIMES: If you are taking the train from Grand Central, there is a 4:54 train (going to North White Plains) that gets in at 5:16, if you would like more time at the grounds. There is also a 5:40 train getting in at 6:02, but you will be asked to be seated shortly after your arrival. (3) TRANSPORTATION AT THE END OF THE NIGHT: Most of our guests indicated they plan to come to the after-party (woohoo!). For that reason, we will not have transportation back to the city after the reception. Instead, buses will take guests to the after-party at midnight. At the end of the night, buses will be available to bring guests to a few locations in Manhattan: Upper West Side, Midtown, Flatiron, and Financial District. // ¡Estamos emocionados de verlos pronto! What is the best way to get to the New York Botanical Garden? // ¿Cuál es la mejor manera de llegar al jardín botánico de Nueva York?

Answer

The NYBG is easily accessible via train from Grand Central (only 20 minutes on Metro-North's Harlem local line). The Mosholu Gate entrance is directly across the street from the Botanical Garden Metro North stop. Closer to the wedding date, we will update this site to recommend specific train times that will get you to the location on time. You can also cab or ride share, but we suggest leaving ample time to arrive by 6:00pm if coming from Manhattan or Brooklyn. // Se puede llegar al Jardín Botánico en el tren desde Grand Central (a sólo 20 minutos en la línea local Harlem de Metro-North). También se puede tomar un taxi o Uber, pero les sugerimos dejar tiempo suficiente para llegar antes de las 6:00pm si vienen desde Manhattan o Brooklyn. Garden cocktail attire (huh?): Regular suits for men, with tie optional. Cocktail or long dresses for women. // Coctel en el jardín (¿qué?): Saco con o sin corbata para los hombres. Vestido de coctel o largo para las mujeres.
