Let's Make This Last Forever

It all started when Brennan became a frequent flyer at a local dive bar in Chicago called Finley Dunnes Tavern. He spent his Saturday's watching sports with his roommates, drinking Miller Lites, and playing darts, all while captivated with the charismatic bartender who would serve them on a weekly basis. That bartender's name was Danielle, who had taken the part time bartending gig, working every weekend, to help pay down her student loans. After getting to know Brennan and his friends, Danielle eagerly anticipated each Saturday shift, as time would fly by laughing & drinking with the guys. One afternoon, Danielle had broken the news to the guys that she had recently broken up with her boyfriend at the time. This captured Brennan's attention, and his friend Jack's who "discreetly" tapped Brennan's leg under the bar encouraging him to shoot his shot. By the end of the afternoon, Brennan had suggested meeting up later that night after Danielle finished her shift & babysitting gig and Brennan was done at the birthday party he had that night. Danielle was definitely open to spending more time with the tall cutie who kept her Saturdays entertaining. Making these plans required Brennan to get Danielle's number which almost made him break out into a cold sweat. With a little encouragement from his friends and Danielle's directive nature, he secured the digits and left with a smile on his face. Unfortunately for Brennan, Danielle ended up babysitting later than she anticipated and the two did not meet up that night. Luckily for Danielle, Brennan did the ole "pretend to fall asleep so you have an excuse to text her in the morning" act! The two continued to text every day for the next week and conversation flowed so naturally. By the end of the week Brennan put his brave face on and asked Danielle on a date so they could continue to get to know each other better. How did the first date go you may ask? Well it about sums up their entire relationship. Danielle talked Brennan's ears off for two hours straight while he sat there with a smile plastered to his face. A few years later the two took the next step, signing their first lease together at the same place they had their first date. A few more years later Brennan proposed on the porch of their Lincoln Park apartment. Danielle of course said YES!! and the two celebrated with their favorite people, at their favorite place, Finley Dunnes Tavern!
