Some stories involve love at first sight. Others involve loving something and letting it go, and believing if it's meant to be, it will find its way back. And other stories involve a hardcore Swiftie from Massachusetts & a heavy metal rocker from Jersey... well, this love story has a little bit of all of that. Brenna and Nick met their freshman year of college in Utica, NY. They shared a few classes together, but it was their fleeting interactions, whether on a walk back from class or a quick meal in the cafe while Nick overshared about his love of conspiracy theories, that drew them to one another. The end of that year meant Brenna would transfer back to school in Massachusetts, and their story would seem to end there. Or did it... Over the next several years, it was Samantha Hallett who would be responsible for being the middle man between the two, listening to one ask her about how the other was doing, and if they were single, with the timing never quite lining up. But all that would change. In August of 2022, Nick reached out to Brenna with the hope that this would finally be the time they worked it out. And what felt like the most eternal love story, years in the making, would finally have its chance to see daylight (cue "daylight" by TS). It would break the internet, Swifties rejoiced - and as Taylor and Travis stole the spotlight - a fierce and timeless romance also developed across state lines between Nick and Brenna. Nick and Brenna spent their first year of dating meeting halfway at a parking garage in Albany NY to then ride together back to MA or Syracuse for the weekend (fun fact: the park across the street from the garage is where Nick and Brenna got engaged!). Whether it was sitting in traffic on the Mass Pike or driving through the worst snow storm ever on the NY Thruway (okay seriously though, I don't know how the heck we made it back), they always found a way to make time for each other. They adopted their first cat, Archie, together and moved in together in Syracuse in June of 2023. They later adopted their second cat, Sunflower (aka Sunny) in 2024. What's better than one cat? TWO! Fast forward to 2025, Nick and Brenna moved from Syracuse & took jobs in a new area to be closer to family and friends. They are exhausted, love their cats, and can't wait to celebrate this special milestone with their friends and family!
