We always love visiting Shorts. Our favorite items are the spinach and artichoke dip and any of their pizzas. Be sure to check out the vintage movie theater across the street too, it’s one of our favorite places for date night while up north.

Have a beach day on Lake Michigan! There’s plenty of beaches right in Charlevoix to check out to kick back and relax.

An hour drive north you’ll find Mackinac Island. Take a short ferry ride and check out The Grand Hotel, The Pink Pony Bar & Restaurant, ride a horse (or bike), check out the butterfly house, and eat some fudge (Julian’s favorite). A must see day trip.

The back lot is a super cool place to visit. With a collection of food trucks there’s something for everyone. Some nights they play live music.
